Project Progress
May 16 was a joyous day in Yangon for our team. It marks the commencement of Sentinel Chain’s international development work with the signing of our MOU with the Myanmar Government to carry out a joint pilot project to perform Tamper-Proof Livestock Identification tagging using InfoCorp’s Sentinel Chain technology in selected areas of Myanmar to include Yangon and Mandalay Divisions and Nay Pyi Taw. Sentinel Chain embarks on a new chapter in our mission towards inclusive finance by serving the needs of the rural farming communities through our technology. Our news was covered by numerous publications including Myanmar’s leading daily, The Myanmar Times.

I consider the project to be a disadvantage according to the plan already at the end of 2019. I like the presence of a large team of 14 people who already have experience in this field. I am glad not the big size of the cap and the lock of tokens sold on pre-sale.

Tokenization is a unique idea. The project has the potential to open up access to credit and other financial services to unregistered farmers. If successful, the project will have great potential because it exploits a new field.

Our team in Myanmar successfully completed usability testing in real farm conditions in Nay Pyi Taw. The torrential floods in Myanmar may delay CrossPay development work by 2 weeks. Our InfoCorp LATAM team attended Blockchain World Congress & Expo in Buenos Aires — the most important trade show in Latin America. Our dev team has started final stress testing for the validators/authorities nodes on Sentinel Chain. Important Announcement: InfoCorp Foundation Appoints Roy Lai as New Chairman

We would like to announce the appointment of Roy Lai as new chairman of InfoCorp Foundation effective 15 August 2018. The boards of Infocorp Foundation and Infocorp Agtech will relinquish their current roles to focus on further development of the blockchain ecosystem.

Roy remains CEO of InfoCorp Technologies as he concurrently serves as chairman of InfoCorp Foundation.

InfoCorp Foundation board has been led by esteemed veteran industry leaders comprising of Mr Chia Hock Lai (President of Singapore Fintech Association), Mr Anson Zeall (Chairman of ACCESS) and Ms Zann Kwan (Board member of ACCESS).

In brief, InfoCorp Foundation was established to govern and supervise the issuance of the Sentinel Tokens and to promote the growth, safety and harmony of its ecosystem. InfoCorp AgTech is responsible for the successful development and operation of the Sentinel Chain and a wholly owned subsidiary of InfoCorp Foundation. InfoCorp Technologies is the technology company engaged to implement Sentinel Chain. Full details of these entities and responsibilities are in the Sentinel Chain Whitepaper.

In order to meet up to the challenges of our post-ICO phase, the existing board of the foundation and InfoCorp Agtech board has decided to appoint the current CEO of InfoCorp Technologies, Roy Lai, to be chairman of the Foundation.

The Sentinel Chain team would like to thank the exiting board for their valuable insights and leadership. The exiting board would also like to thank Roy Lai, the CEO of InfoCorp Technologies, for his groundbreaking vision and wonderful time working together on the development of the Sentinel Chain.
