About how should start a good topic for newbie need to know.
I think most newbies here(also includes myself)lack the necessary knowledge about crypto to write high quality articles. Maybe our topics doesn't have to be related to crypto, we can talk about other things.
I don't think everyone knows crypto are in-depth, but I can be sure that everyone has what they are good at.
So, I have the following suggestions.

1. Try to write what you know, don’t make incorrect opinions about issues that you know little about.
2. The content of your article should be concise and focused. Don't force unnecessary nonsense to make the article look longer.
3. It is necessary to keep the thread active. If you have some research and understanding of a problem, then you should continue to share your knowledge in the thread, so that your thread will look more attractive.
4. Remember to check if there are already similar topic before starting a topic to avoid duplicate topics.

It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

And also, if you are going to write an off topic post make sure to make it in the off topic board as it would be trashed if it's posted in any perculiar board for other discussions.

Some people takes those tips to the minimum expression, and end up posting a copy/pasted content extracted from an article somewhere, and adding the link down the bottom to the source. That is on the verge of plagiarism and of being non-substantial, but regardless of the rules, it demotes no will to do the homework, understand the topic, and summarize it in their own words. In addition, a versed opinion would be welcome and could be the kick-starter to a decent debate.

On the other hand, it's not mandatory for newbies to create topics or threads. Don't understand the purpose of it, to get merit? to get recognized? etc...

Since they are on newbie period, why not participate instead in the discussions which is really the reason why they are here. To get information on something, somehow they must involved in a certain discussion. There are lots of topics to be involved with so that they may not end up copy pasting article somewhere.

Difficult? No it's not as long as they are eager to continue their forum journey.

Anyways you have a nice set of suggestions there. Keep it up.

It is not mandatory for anyone regardless of rank to make a topic. One can come across an interesting fact or piece of information and want to share.
And whatever the motive to get merits, recognition or anything else, as long as its a concise and helpful post it is welcome on the forum.

4. Remember to check if there are already similar topic before starting a topic to avoid duplicate topics.

This should be honestly bolded out. We always see topics like "how to get merit" every few days, FROM PEOPLE WHO DON'T EVEN HAVE A SINGLE MERIT. And lately? The "how to get merit" topics evolved to "you should not focus on getting merit" topics. I don't even know anymore.

Definitely to get merit. I don't remember bitcointalk having that much topic spam back in the day when there wasn't merit requirements.

This is so far the most important if you will ask me.  If there is a similar topic, then you can make a post similar yet with additional knowledge than the previous posts.  By that you are contributing new to the forum and many will learn from you.

There is a search button on the upper right corner that you can use to see if there are posts similar to your idea.

People still don't get it and will keep on posting irrelevant stuff and what some more brilliant people do I'd without any experience they invest and lose and then complain in here that crypto is a scam or what. Knowledge is so important in here and everywhere without it you cannot succeed in any field no matter how you try.

Thank you for these few reminders
Unfortunately, everything shows that we are less and less a civilization of writing but rather a society of emotional reaction (and this can be seen as soon as people write)

The reason is very simple, not everyone is good at crypto. And many newbies, including me, are hard to say constructive opinions about some crytpo's topics, because to be honest, we are just ordinary crypto investors, and the understanding of crypto is superficial, even if we discuss this topic with others and most opinions may be repetitive.
Instead, we are more interested in topics other than crypto, for example, we can discuss oil prices, discuss trade policies, discuss a game, etc, so we will to create new topics for discussion.

And whatever the motive to get merits, recognition or anything else, as long as its a concise and helpful post it is welcome on the forum.
I am very disgusted with those long, empty posts. They wrote many long nonsense posts, but did not pass any useful information.

This type of posts are very boring. To be exact, to discuss topics of merit is already disgusting, try to talk about other interesting things.

Thank you for these few reminders
Unfortunately, everything shows that we are less and less a civilization of writing but rather a society of emotional reaction (and this can be seen as soon as people write)
Once this topic has no one to pay attention to, they will immediately give up this practice, here will better.
So, I have an additional suggestion now:
Don't pay attention to topics that are about Merit, don't reply to them.

Good points. Every newbie should definetly take a look at them. And yeah it might be better for some newbies to just post and contribute but I think we got some hidden gems(new users) aswell that are certainly capable of posting a good thread.

One if the things you already mention is keeping the thread active. Personally I aim to reply to every post in the thread I have made because first of all I think its the polite thing to do. How would you feel if you asked someones opinion/advice and he took the time to respond only to get ignored. Further to your points I think its a virtue if you can acknowledge the fact that you are not going to know it all. The thing is, even if you're the biggest Crypto Expert YOU know, there are going to be things you know very little about. And if someone asks im going to be honest and say:''I dont know.''. Instead of making up an answer and I think admitting to the world and yourself that you dont know is a virtue and not a lot of people do.

Then work for it. Start on a plain and basic knowledge and work your way up. Im started at being newbie too with not much knowledge about crypto, same as you so don't say that you are  just an ordinary crypto investor (Im not an investor* back in my newbie days. Smiley ) .

Please read again my reply. It's all about posting articles by newbies. Believed me, this article spam by newbies is just present today due to merit.

And besides, if you are more interested in topics outside crypto then bitcointalk might not be the suitable forum for that.

So, you do not believe in sharing the knowledge? You can definitely share something if you find something new, interesting and useful for forum members, even though  nobody asked you.
