Why people invest in ICO when it is risky and these days most of the coins are dropping.
ICOs are a gateway to cheap crypto coins before they hit the exchange and with the experience we have attained over the years at least we are able to pick out a good project to invest in with minimum chances of being scammed.

Do you think ICOs are going to survive for a long time?
Not any time soon just expect more KYC requirements

Yes it seems risky but also it is a quite big gainer. You can not get this much anywhere,i but of course it can be also a scam one. It is on to your feelings. If you believe in project or seems promising to you join. Otherwise, go away...

Investing in ICO can be very rewarding. You get the tokens usually much cheaper than later on the market.
It also has an advantage over others later potential buyers, because you bought the tokens much cheaper than the.
One thing that should not be forgotten is that the project is actually realized by ICO.
Once the tokens are later on the market to buy, you could sell the tokens for a significantly higher price than you have bought them.
However, you should pay attention to where you invested. Unfortunately, there are many scams where you could lose all your money in the end.
You could also participate in campaigns and get tokens before investing your money.

I think that not only ISO, but also trading will be popular. The latest trends in the market will change, I think that by the end of the month most of the currencies will pump.

Answering this question leads us to answer the usual question " why do we invest ?" , For the simple reason that investment can bring huge  profits in return even though it is quite risky but , some precautions ( which tend to minimise the risk to be scammed ) should be taken such as the choice ( which plays a major role in the determination of the reward) of the ICO .

Why to  invest in ICO is because of the huge profits many  people will want to seize the opportunity in it. ICO can be very very rewarding if it turns out to be real. At the initial price ICO IS very cheap and affordable.

Because there is money in altcoins r ico , just simple as that. And many of the community here became rich in the ico by simply investing unto it or participating to their bounty campaign where you will be given a reward once you comply their task weekly requirements.

Yes I have seen many people earning from bounty campaigns. On an average how much one can earn from a bounty campaign?

98% of icos do not beat btc returns. so you have to be really selective and pick the right ones. Core of every crypto portfolio should be the major coins, especially btc

As all others investments ICO is risky. Most people invest in ICO because they believe in project and it´s product. Most coins dropping just in last week, take a look before, it was huge grow. If you take a look of statistics - almost all coins are more expensive than they were sold during ICO. If you don´t ready to risk - than bank deposit is safe decision.  Wink

Ico is risky 90% are scam 10% are legit. Its still better to invest in ico especially if you read well their whitepaper and decide if its worthy to put your money on that coin. I recommend you invest of what coin is the word of mouth of the people in crypto ico. it will really give you a good profit.

In all honesty, sometimes its can be better to invest maybe a week after an ICO because some initials buyers want to sell right away.

At this point it seems like any ICO that's being offered people are interested in. It provides crazy gains for people that got in early - even if the actual coin does nothing. It's the general consensus that coins are valued based on speculation, so if an ICO has buzz words, people will flock to it and invest in them.

ico is at risk but that's not all. there are some projects that really bring benefits to investors.
so before you join in ico should be studied first in order to avoid the scam project that makes a loss for you.

Yes, it is very risky. My last project, in which I wanted to invest, was a scam https://benebit.io/
I did not have time to invest, thank God. But I saw one member investing 100ETH. This is an incredible amount for me. As a result, he lost them. Guys, I'm already afraid to invest after such news https://news.bitcoin.com/benebit-ico-runner-2-7-million-investor-funds/

If there are still many opportunities to develop crypto with many features and services,ICO will keep exist.Investing in ICO will make investor get an advantage to buy the coin when it's still on the basic price. If the project success, the investor will make profit from selling their coin higher than the basic price. The risk is,if the project turned out to be scam or unpopular, investor will lose their money, because the coin never exist or the price is too low than the basic price.

If you are wanting to invest in that ICO then why don't you just invest in it? Is that coin a scam? I don't know about it.

I normally don't invest in ICO but there are some excellent projects which will surely be the future of crypto currency world I tend to invest in them and also joining their bounty campaign toearn some extra perks if the project success as not all the ICO end up with negative notes. I wish I could have invested in Utrust.
