I agree there are many ICO's which are scams, but there are many genuine ICO which exists and are living up to their words.
Moreover investing in ICO is profitable because you get your expect or anticipated returns, and taking is risk is worth it.
There are many ICO which are genuine like I came accross this ICO named binextrade its and exchange now in its beta phase, they fulfilled their promises as said during the ICO phase also my experience have been good.

why should we invest in ico when we can get these tokens/coins in airdrop and bounty.  there are some people that don't have much time and effort to give to the project but do have some money.  these people opt to throw in money as investment and will just check on the price after some years.  these people seem to have confidence on the project ico they invested in.
