The clock isn't binding, i've seen lot's of auctions on this forum where that clock image and forum times differ several minutes.. I think it is pretty clear that forum times counts. Punin starts an auction on: August 24, 2013, 08:09:55 PM (~10 minutes after 8:00 PM) and writes: Auction ends in 24h. Bidding starts at 2BTC.

Or maybe it's the 24 hours that are approximate and the clock is binding. That's why most people list a bunch of rules for their auction. I knew this would be a clusterbleep.

It cannot be the clock, as there would be no way to check afterwards which posts are before/after it finishes.

Monero's privacy and therefore fungibility are MUCH stronger than Bitcoin's. This makes Monero a better candidate to deserve the term "digital cash".

That is the time on this "onnit" server. How would you relate it with the time here, on the forum?

You can open the windows side by side and see they are pretty much exactly the same. "Pretty much exactly the same" isn't sufficient. At the end of auctions, seconds (even a single one), can make the difference between a valid and an invalid bidding. Then you just look at the time of the posts and there is no ambiguity. You don't "put windows side by side", keeping pushing f5... Anyway I just wanted to explain the reasoning as to why the clock is just an indication. I'll leave more discussion on the topic to the OP.

It's within a second. That is sufficient. In this auction, there was a post 59 seconds and 8 minutes after, are you saying that's close? Give me a break.

I take it I won't be getting the 20 that I rightfully won in this auction?

Not that it is any of my business, but I want to chime in and say that I think forum time is what is binding. "24 hours" is not an interpretive thing, it is exact. The only exact way to measure it is the timestamp.

I stopped bidding because the auction was over. So I get screwed because people bid after it was over? Awesome.

Payment received from Zublica and SmiGuel, Thank you!
Still waiting to receive from Jwest411 and TheAndy500.
I will transfer shares as soon as payments are complete (I don't want to bombard friedcat with extra mails). You have 12 hours.
