Many of us have the same mentality of holding, no doubt HODL is good to minimize risk but not the best option when you have too much opportunities to earn more through trading.

I think that's not a good idea mate, but as they said nothing is imposible to the believer let's just say that you can live up to 100 years old or more, but nobody knows what will happen to the bitcoin currency before reaching 100 years. we do not know that maybe in next 50 years there is something new currency has come out and stronger and higher than the bitcoin currency that will cause the sinking of bitcoin prices. No one knows.

May be bitcoin Will survive until 100 years later but I not really sure about you, may be you Will die before 100 years. Hold for 1 - 2 years is enough to get a lot of profit, bitcoin is always unpredictable and the price always fluktuate, no one know what Will happen in the future.

100 years is too much! I don't even know if crypto is still valuable after that time, but I think HODL is the best strategy here. Sometimes it can be frustrating to see the value of your money go down from time to time. So I guess if you want to see something positive, keep it and HODL then if the market is in a better place and has abundance of greens then that's when you view it and maybe consider selling it. Holding would need a lot of patience but I think it would be worth it since your money can multiply exponentially over a great period of time.

Exactly. Hodl'ing makes sense, sure. But for something like 100 years like the op is joking about, or even just a decade, it's impossible to know where bitcoin will end up. I don't think it's a good idea to hold until the end no matter what, especially if some altcoin comes out that improves on bitcoin. Blockchain technology will probably be here to stay, but bitcoin, everyone can be a little skeptical about. I think it'll be here for a while, but I just don't think it'll be a super long time.

Everyone has their own strategy holding is simply the strategy that gives more profits it has been proven time and time again in the stock market, of those that trade 80% are unable to beat the market and the rest is unable to do it consistently, so 99% of the traders cannot beat the market in the long run and for those that do there is a strong indication by the data they just got lucky.
