It's indeed a risky investment, but I would say the riskiest kind of investment in Crypto-Currency world is Ponzi/HYIP. Most of these ICOs won't succeed on long term, so the "hit and run" strategy is used, you wait a fast pump, sell all your coins and wait for the next opportunity on a next ICO and forget forever

Investing on ICO's have risk, I guess that everything that we do have its own risk, but investing on ICO's risk is only when the project will turned out different compare to the exact plan of a certain team. Some of the ICO's nowadays are just good on the start, but once that they've hit their soft or hard cap, some of them decided not to pay their investors and clients and run away with the entire money they have raised.

Everything you do while you breath air out of your name nostrils involve some degree of risk. Cryptocurrency and in particular ICO is not different from all these other activities. ICO is a good tool to increase your fund. If you are willing to risk a little you could earn big.

Actually before joining any ICO as for my experience, I look for the roadmap and the team. That matters to me. For example if one of the advisers is Cuban probably he also reviewed and make some studies before being part of that certain ICO. I mean I consider the background of the team behind launching an ICO so there will be less risk to be gone in the future.

Ypu can loss all your money in ICO if the developer gone. You will loss your money if you sell your coin in lower price. Become investors in ICO means that you will become long term investors. You should thrust your dev although the price of the coin that you buy is decrease.

to prevent scam you should learn and seek some proffs before investing in any ico site.  Cause  that is the common reason why we loss some of our money which is investing without Searching about legit and scam ico. And indeed when we do some investment in ico we always trust the dev. But we can't prevent those scam dev cause there are some dev after months it turn to scammer.   Much better to investigate first and seek some proofs then invest. Cause there are some classified ICO

of course there is a risk in an ICO because they are made to catch the interest of investors and users but in such cases they failed to get people thru advertisement which resulting for developers and investors to incurred loss. To lessen the risk you must practise good analysis of a certain projects, make some research and ask for other people opinion specially if you want to know if the project is scam or not

Well, every investments have risk and ICO's are not exempted on that list. However, who knows that the ICO you've just joined or invested for would be worthy in just short period of time? It is just a matter of choice on investing ICO's because they really are risky just like what you do in tradding or in gambling. Better investigate first the project you want to invest before investing and please just invest what you can afford to lose.

Investing in ICO is a big risk. Examples: Tezos, Filecoin and others. Careful analysis of the project reduces risks. For me, ICO is a good opportunity to make money, despite the risks.

Once you enter and go on for a business it is risky. Becasue you invest time and effort to comply the task. Just like if you invest in ICO becasue you must be more decentrallized and their is an infillable contractual agreement. The terms and condition to be follow, it is very important in the system of blockchain for the continues progress.

Once you released money and invest it into something risk is always there.  Many people instantly became rich because of the earning they get from ICO investment but there are lot of people also who losses their money because joining in illegitimate or unsuccessful ICO.  So to avoid losses, you have to be careful in analyzing which ICO has the greatest potential.

To be honest ICO itself is second name of the risk!! There are only few projects which turn out to be true in the long run. I have been in the crypto since two years now and the trend of ICO is growing day by day but in complete wrong way and just to misuse the new investors who don’t think before investing into it. I have seen ICO becoming obsolete after finishing their launches just because of their wrong methods of marketing and zero investors for the future. Sometimes they run away with your money without publishing any prior notice and sometimes they are not have innovative products and services which can attract more customers to profit from. The end result, whole thing turns out upside down! So better think twice, study well about an ICO if you are going to invest.

Investing in ICO is riskier than just holding and trading your Bitcoin and has a high possibility of scam. Even a legit ICO doesnt give you the assurance of earning. You will first distinguish which are scams or not, on this part is so risky even just in the beginning, then the other risk is when that ICO will progress.

The risk will always be there specially in crypto market. ICO's offers different services with different risk level but newbie should be careful and should not join any ICO easily. If you think this is an easy profit then you are wrong because in reality your money will easily loose if you make a wrong decision. Study further so you can prevent to put your money on a scam ICO's.

I definitely agree, sadly now Benebit ICO scammed many people, it take away almost 4 Million USD. and it is advertised by ICO Reviewers.
It is substantial to do your own research and not solely relying on other people and reviews.

It is a full risk joining in ICOs because at first you do not even know what will the result in the end of the ICO sale or if you are not reading carefully about the product on what it may help and what will be the effect in the society.

1 you will be lost your money if the project is scam,
2 if the developers can't complete all of their promises and you will be lost all of your money too caused by a lot of people will try to move to another project.
3 There is no guarantee if the development progress will be running for smoothly.
This ico investment involved high risk but at the same time if you can choose the best one and it can give you a huge return too. Only invest the amounts that you afford to lose.

No its not accurately saying that ICO investment is totally risk.But
if you want to investment anywhere then there is a great ratio of risk but before investment you need to judge the place where you are investing. You need to study deeply about ICO that what is there is idea and what are the feedback of some experts and which people are involving in that ICO after that you need to go to decision.
