I am an idiot and I had accidentally sent over $1k in USD from Binance to my Trezor BTC wallet. Is there any way I can retrieve it or is it lost? I contacted Trezor and they told me:

Unfortunately, there is no way to safely recover your funds when you sent unsupported coin type to the address type that belongs to different coin type. You can export only your private keys from your recovery seed, but we are not providing any advice regarding this procedure as it is completely against the purpose of our product.

I wasnt sure what they were referring to when they wrote export private keys. Please if someone can help me my wife is going to kill me. God bless~

I believe what you sent to your BTC address was USDT, right? You can recover them by exporting the specific address private-key and importing it in a USDT compatible wallet. But this could compromize the wallet as the private-keys should never leave the device, and exposing them could be dangerous.

If you still want to continue:

1. Go to https://iancoleman.io/bip39/ (download the source and run offline for better privacy)
2. Write your Trezor seed in the "BIP39 Mnemonic" field.
3. Scroll down and you should see all your BTC addresses.
4. Find the address where you sent the USDT to and copy the private-key.
5. Go to https://www.omniwallet.org/
6. Create a new wallet.
7. Go to My Addresses -> Add Address -> Import Address with Private Key -> Paste the private-key from step 4.
8. You should be able to see the USDT in the address and spend them.

Seeing as how you're potentially exposing your seed and/or private key, You might also like to do the following:

9. Move all your BTC (and/or other coins) to another wallet, preferably another hardware wallet or a paper wallet
10. Reset your Trezor and create a new seed
11. Send your coins back to the newly seeded Trezor

Doing this entire procedure (extracting the private key) is not without it's risks... please make sure you are 100% sure of what you are doing and take adequate precautions before attempting ANY of this.
