Hi,

I don't want to be rude but something is wrong here if you want the first exchange to be poloniex.

Can you explain why did you choose poloniex and also why do you think they will list Stellite at this early stage?

Any exchange listing is good for a cryptocurrency. At this point, we're trying to get as many as we can in order to allow users to be able to trade STEL easily. I deleted Poloniex from the exchange list because we only applied to it. We reworked our strategy for exchange applications and will start applying for small to medium-sized exchanges first.

Well, there is nothing wrong with ur idea about the exchanges, maybe it's a good idea indeed.
What do you think about HitBTC? Not that big, many cryptonight coins.. But they also got there troubles (so i dont know if that's a good choice)

Cryptopia is maybe a good way to start, just like ETN (Electroneum) did.

HitBTC is alright. Cryptopia asked for something like 16 BTC for the listing, which is quite ridiculous.

Nice (about HitBTC!), take ur time. For me and i guess many other people it's not bad to wait and mine till that time. This coin is just released so a exchange 1 day later can be bad also.

And indeed, 16BTC for listing on cryptopia is for now a little bit to much Cheesy

And after all, i think its better to have a good working GUI wallet first. There are more important things now then a exchange i think.
Make it so that people can drop there deamon-wallet file easy in the GUI wallet. Many people won't buy a coin wich is not completed on the basic things (gui wallet, good working website and stuff like this).

I will tell you this, if you put your coin on shit exchanges your going to kill the coin because the exchange WILL rob all your investors.

look at what happened with coinsmarkets...

the list goes on and on, yobit known scam within the crypto world.

crazy that some people would want to put the coin on bad exchanges

Perhaps it made sense to make a purse wallet GUI first, negotiate with a popular pool about the organization of the booty or make your own pool. In advance, announce a coin, for an equal start for all participants. An honest and fair start would attract more participants and enhance the original reputation of the coin. A good exchange for starting this is CoinExchange or CryptoBridge. Good luck.

Wont last with big boys

didnt they say the same thing about monero or what ever coin came out with no white paper or nothing?

and what big boys? ETN has proven to be a scam and it rose to 12 cents, they promised $30 monthly returns on their white paper for their mobile miner,  got caught in a lie, and they dont even have a mobile miner. Its just a cryptonight coin right now, with the IDEA of a mobile miner.

so if they could get a working miner going they might will kill it.

How is ETN proven to be a scam? Their mobile miner app is in beta now. And they actually have some real marketing that tries to make some real deals. Its a bit different project than most of these coins that are put out by 15 year olds. I think people made a lot of money from their investment in ETN ICO, so calling it a scam is nonsense.

https://www.facebook.com/electroneum/videos/1945639132364722/

There already are real miners for mobile, but they will not only heat up your phone but also drain your battery. The ETN mobile miner is basically a marketing app, its main purpose is just to airdrop small amounts of ETN for people to get into crypto.

Here is a person actually mining ETN on a iPhone : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cyYxu3DFong

There are plenty of actual real miners for mobile phones.

And if the intention is to make a crypto for mobile mining, the right way to go would have been cryptonight-lite that is much more suitable for low end CPU:s because it only takes 1mb of cache per thread.

I had the same warning -> WARNING: no two valid StellitePulse DNS checkpoint records were received

I had that as well, but the daemon synced and then mining could be started normally.
Try waiting for it to fully sync.

Is there any chance that you could go through the steps for setting up the wallet and mining script for me?

I'm using CCMiner, but I'm new to mining and I don't really understand how to set up a coin that doesn't have an established QT wallet or Pool.

Would very much appreciate it.

We're not just about marketing and mobile mining, we are about bringing innovation to this space and plus we have no marketing tricks and tactics in our back pockets we just want to do what we and the community thinks is right. For instance, we're doing an IPFS and ZeroNet integration for node list distribution (among other things) which has never been attempted by any other coin. Mobile mining is a misnomer because we plan to help people from all over the globe in mining on anything that has a silicon board.

What is the meaning of the word Stellite and why did you choose it? Someone here already mentioned that it is quite similar to Stellar. It was the first thing which came to my mind when I saw your name.

Is this the meaning of the word?:
Stellite alloy is a range of cobalt-chromium alloys designed for wear resistance. It may also contain tungsten or molybdenum and a small but important amount of carbon.

That indeed is the meaning behind the word. Our first release is called "Cobalt". Guess the name of the next release Grin
