quick question...  if I am just HODLing, no mining, not even considering selling, etc anytime soon, do I need to do anything about the fork, or can I just sit tight holding my private keys with my original wallet and then check back in a year or so?

The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

would advice to update wallet to prepare for V4.
or just save your seed words / private keys and do a import with new wallet in a year or so.

as shown on the website:

Welcome to Stellite Community Pool! If you are new to mining, this is the place for you.

The owner of this pool is SB155. If your miner gets banned, your payout is late, your connection is lost - he is the one you want to ask for help. For urgent matters you can mail him at admin@uax.io

We will release this week a tool which will remove chain - download chain - import chain so should be less hassle and not days waiting to sync.
But don't tell anyone ok ? can't share it yet.

Why have you still not decided the fork block if you are determined to  change the algo this week already? This seems a bit rushed and not well communicated to miners.

If you are interested there is a someone making 0% fee builds of XTL-Stak, the latest build will support the fork, now I've not tried it myself so have no idea if it works or anything about it.
Check it out here, https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3264773.msg39337497#msg39337497

I did not try with XTL, but with other CN based cryptos resuyltats are always very bad. If you don't want to spend much time configuring a miner, use XMR-Stack. If you are willing to, then SRB miner is the fastest.

Titanium v1 is an update to the Stellite network. This update brings us to V4 and will happen at block height 194600.
It is a mandatory update for all node maintainers of Stellite, including miners, pools, wallets and exchanges.

Highlights for V4 include:

* Changed Proof-of-Work algorithm to our custom XTL variant 2
* An improved Difficulty Adjustment Algorithm (DAA)
* A bump in minimum network fee and increased median blocksize limit

With this release we added a new `stellite-blockchain-downloader` tool. This tool downloads and imports the
latest available blockchain file so you don't have to sync from block 0.

https://github.com/stellitecoin/xtlrig/releases

Can we use this new StelliteGUI wallet right now or do we have to wait until block 194600 has passed.
Will the new wallet create a completely new blockchain, so the old one we have can be deleted - it takes up lots of disk space.
How do we move old wallet into new wallet, do we just import the key.

Thanks.

Where can i find a guide how to download and import the blockchain into the GUI Wallet?

As far as I understand stellite-blockchain-downloader working only with CLI wallet?
