[HACKED] TheTribesman - Legendary account hacked

My legendary account was hacked in October.

I have provided 'a level of proof' but the admins have not yet returned my account to me. Like most people, when I was a newbie I took the advice not to trust anyone and didn't post any BTC addresses. I guess that's my downfall.

I've read other hacked account threads where it's stated that if you have not posted a BTC address anywhere that there will be issues recovering your account and anyone asking for help is wasting their time. If I get my account back I will post a BTC address here:

I suggest everyone else do the same just in case you too get hacked.

Here's my proof. Please tell me if it's good enough 'for consideration', or maybe it's not (and I'm fooling myself thinking it is)

1. I am the dev of kobocoin - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=920290.0
2. I have paid for the KOBO block explorer which is linked from CoinMarketCap - https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/kobocoin/
3. This is the BTC payment address for the kobocoin explorer in use by CoinMarketCap - 1Hfgbi7TsgZvi9Jn86c8ZkE3MQ4fmdHWz1
4. The admins know of this address because it is used in my PM. I was asked to provide proof using that address.
5. This is the address on BTC explorer - https://blockchain.info/address/1Hfgbi7TsgZvi9Jn86c8ZkE3MQ4fmdHWz1
6. Look at 0.01 BTC payment on 2016-01-24 09:56:43
7. It came from address 1MUph4u92DJ2d1YfxPvyZKNAL6avaDnDju
8. The required signed message for that address was provided. It came from an address I own. It was the second payment for the explorer in use today.

I'm at a bit of a loss because I haven't published a BTC address on BCT but I have proof that I sent payment for the KOBO block explorer 
and the proof can be found in a PM from user GrinZ who built a block explorer for KOBO.

As you will see from the PM he sent me, Grinz account address for KOBO block explorer is 1Hfgbi7TsgZvi9Jn86c8ZkE3MQ4fmdHWz1 

If you check address 1Hfgbi7TsgZvi9Jn86c8ZkE3MQ4fmdHWz1 in a BTC explorer 
you will see that the payment of 0.01BTC sent 24th January, 2016 
(after I heard back from GrinZ confirming the address to send the payment) is from address 1MUph4u92DJ2d1YfxPvyZKNAL6avaDnDju 
which I used to sign the message above.

The previous payment of 0.01 BTC was sent from one of my exchange accounts and the TxID is 
52e43bbb5e36cb269fe2d117dc709925100517c368c48f985cb876e61541f788. 

This TxID is shown in the PM. Unfortunately because it was sent from an exchange account I can't sign with it 
which would be more conclusive, but you will see that the second payment to address 1Hfgbi7TsgZvi9Jn86c8ZkE3MQ4fmdHWz1 
for the block explorer was sent from my address (1MUph4u92DJ2d1YfxPvyZKNAL6avaDnDju) which is used to sign the message above.

I hope this is OK. I have never hidden my identity. The whole KOBO community knows who I am 
(it is in the OP) and I can supply my passport image if necessary.

People hack your site and steal multiple passwords and then start hacking accounts. Rather than make amends, you make the victims feel like criminals disturbing your life.

Only in crypto.

Anyways, the time is coming when crypto service providers will no longer be able to get away with this type of behaviour, if they want to prosper!

I was asked if I owned the 1Hfgbi7TsgZvi9Jn86c8ZkE3MQ4fmdHWz1 address.

It's the address used to fund the KOBO explorer that's used on CoinMarketCap.

I don't own it but I have proved (OP above) that I can sign a message from the address paying for that explorer. But that's not good enough? Really??? I should now update the Kobocoin website?

I am not able to update the OP of the main thread. What happens to that? Start from scratch because I've been hacked? Really?? Years of working hard just thrown in the bin. And for what?

I'm sure EVERYONE involved in this issue (or anyone reading my pleadings and proof) KNOWS that the account belongs to me.

I don't get it. It's not even a possibility that the account belongs to the hacker. Has the hacker been asking for the account to be returned to them? What proof has been asked of the hacker? What proof have they provided?

Really, it's a travesty. There has to be some level of discretion in this. This is pure injustice. And now I've had to bring my pleadings out into the public arena and make a fool of myself because my account means something to me. Don't get me wrong. I absolutely understand the reason for making recovering a hacked account as robust as possible because of the behaviour of some people in this industry, but there really has to be some discretion involved.

If I couldn't produce ANY proof at all, please believe that I would have let it go and accepted the consequences, but in this case I have produced viable proof.

I'm serious. People can't be treated like this. It's unsustainable.

In the PM in question, user GrinZ is requesting payment from me to that address to pay for the explorer. I've proved that I can sign messages from the account sending BTC to that address. The payment was made long before the account was hacked.

Maybe I'm just not understanding but please tell me why that is not viable proof. CMC don't provide explorers. And why would CMC request payment from me in the first place? I understand that you may be saying that because of their reputation.

I've been through my email notifications and that BTC address is one of the few times that payment was requested.

Chainz is a reputable block explorer provider - https://chainz.cryptoid.info/kobo/ and used by many. I don't see why that doesn't count. A BTC address is a BTC address. It's there in my PMs and I can prove that I send BTC to it with signed messages.

Is there some belief that I want to steal this account and that it doesn't belong to me???

Can I suggest that when the initial welcome email is sent out to prospective users that people are advised to post a BTC address somewhere on the site so that they have undisputable proof of ownership. I'm not suggesting adding an extra link in the email (to confuse people), just a word of advice.

This is exactly what I don't get. You say there is NO LINKAGE BETWEEN THE ADDRESSES. So how is the image below explained?.

Please forgive me for being so aggressive about it but I've been completely and utterly ignored since November 20th, 2017. I'm at my wits end.

I have taken 2 screenshots of the email notification I received which shows the actual PM with that address listed. As you will see from the screenshots below, the address is clearly visible.

- This is the top of the PM notification
- This is the bottom of the PM notification
- This is a lot of the PM notifications in a list with the message from GrinZ highlighted. You will even see TheTribesman name on 17/09/2015

I hope you don't mind that I've blanked out my personal gmail categories. I'm even upset that I've had to screenshot my gmail but if that's what it takes, then that's what it takes. I will do what it takes.

The address is clearly visible. GrinZ message to me is clearly visible. I have all my PM notifications if you need to see any of them.

So what do you think of the extra images I've provided? The PM is right there. All my PM notifications are in my email. I can provide them if required.

No matter how deep anyone delves they will always see that TheTribesman account was hacked and stolen from me.

I don't think this about whether or not the account is mine. I personally believe that everyone involved (and everyone reading this thread) knows the account is mine.

It's about something else. Maybe it's just about my attitude. Maybe I'm just not a likeable person. Maybe, as you said, I've been too aggressive. Maybe I should be more subservient and just get on my knees and beg. Maybe it's because people see KOBO as a "shitcoin" so I'm not deserving of anything. Maybe people want to show me that even though I may be in the right that it still doesn't mean that my hacked account will be returned to me. Maybe there's a feeling that if anyone steps outside of what's been defined (and actually helps me out here) that there will be a flood of requests and a new precedent will have been set. I just don't know.

I don't know what that something else is, but I do know that everyone involved (and everyone reading this thread) most definitely now knows that this hacked account was stolen from me.

I have not dirtied my username with bad posts or scams or anything. I was taking abuse for years for attempting to offer a service. After years, now people can see that I have integrity and do believe in the project I started.

For years I have worked hard to raise the awareness of my target audience and it is finally starting to come together, and now this. A scammer/hacker can just bring everything down.

I don't think about it too much or I would lose my mind. The kobo community believe it would be easy to get my account back. The original OP can now never be updated unless the devs can take some mercy on me.

No. I did get replies from Cyrus and mprep. We were having conversation about it and then suddenly nothing. Cyrus blocked the account to stop any scam attempt by the hacker and asked me to show connection to the address above which I did. He said he would investigate it and then I never heard back. And from that time there have been no responses. That was Nov 20, 2017.

Maybe they will read the proof here and finish the investigation. One can only hope.

of all personal messages sent to them, only the super moderator and one legendary person answered me.

If you send a generic PM, something along the lines

"I was hacked, why aren't you answering me??"
You'll just get ignored.

Start with your signed messege and write which PM the address is mentioned in, in this format

I would recommend the opposite approach  
Send one PM to Cyrus. If he doesn´t reply after 2 weeks send a PM to theymos.

I would recommend the opposite approach  
Send one PM to Cyrus. If he doesn´t reply after 2 weeks send a PM to theymos.

I have so generally most of the messages from the forum have been deleted, there is one left in private messages and one in the Russian forum, all! others deleted

Wow, that's terrible. Cyrus was kind enough to lock mine so that it cannot be used for any scamming. But I've not heard from him since. I have to keep faith that it will one day be returned to me. I remember when I became a hero member. I was so happy. I can't describe how I felt when I became Legendary.

I don't understand why they aren't giving their only just 1 hour to recover accounts. They are posting the tutorial to take it back but they dont care about it. If you don't think to look PM's i want to ask that why you're posting tutorials? You dont have time? Make automatic system to verify identify and from signed messages and only confirm last steps. (or just dont post tutorials maybe)

My account got hacked too, all i want is restoring my e-mail address. Seems like it wont happen but maybe admins will make us happy with restoring our accounts.

I am not anonymous like most in here because I've done nothing wrong and scammed no-one. Those of you who like digging, go out there and find one scam accusation against me or the project.

I'm here to try and make a difference. I actually have some belief in crypto. 

How many of you can say the same? Why not just head over to your favourite ICO site and find the next crappy investment to lose your money in.

My shitcoin project will be here long after your fomo ICOs have flattened your fiat bank account.
