all you need is a factory that can design and churn out 28 nm or smaller process custom circuits with reliable lead times and good quality.

i think this should be possible with the next version of makerbot.

You just need about about a million dollars. Is that cheap enough? Smiley

We always had our electronics outsourced to a company that specialized in chip making, just sent them the designs and they do the rest for a few dollars per board... but it's in bulk.

If you are interested in making your own as a hobby, there are a few sources that will show you how to make them.

time to make some homemade microchips!

You are living in a dream world mate. 28nm chip design and fabrication costs a lot. Make your own as a hobby? Please do it and report how you get on Smiley

This is a simple question.

First you post that you are building it.

Then you take pre-orders.

Then you release photshops or renders of something.  Anything at all.

Then you either build something a few years later or you just run away with all the pre-order money and dissappear.

Are you just building up threads for your new account?  Granted it will get your post count up, but you may want to follow some of the threads: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=415000.0
