Its frustrating to see such a steady stall in the crypto market post January. Seems like any price change (increase/decrease) is happening at snail pace. Any hope that this market will pick up soon in the following months?

Of course the market will speed up in the coming weeks. Too many people want to invest in and waiting for this market stagnation to finish. After the prices will start to rise,  the market will speed up more. To many people know about Bitcoin and crypto currency. It will not stay at these levels too long.

It will last for another 2 weeks until mid-february Chinese new year, after which vast amounts of fiat will flow back in from Asian markets.

Markets always work like a yo-yo, they go up and they crash back down but it can't be down forever. Some whales will give it a dose of viagra lol and it will go up again. We hope the Chinese whales after they finish unloading fr Chinese New Year, they decide to cone back in and give a hige cash injection into the cryptopian arena once again so our bags can explode in price. I hate the slump as much as the next guy and gal but all I can do is be patient and wait.  Grin

Everyone wants a massive movement , it won't last forever a volatile price just like when it moves from hundreds dollar to thousands dollar.
It requires a little drop or even a crash before the market move unexpectedly reach the new ATH.
Hodl! A huge money coming after this month to boost the sluggish market , korean and chinese investor will back in action , at least that is what i believe as a fundamental.

Of course market will recover soon. just like other market or assets. the value cryptocurrency will not always grow or increase and it is normal to wait a little longer for them to recover. it is not like when cryptocurrency market crashes it will recover on the same day or tomorrow. people will still continue to invest after those fear uncertainty and doubts ends. we just have to be patient.

It doesn't feel frustrating to me. Infact this should be welcomed if everyone was using Bitcoin for its intended original masterplan.

The market feels balanced right now and not much positive news going on for Bitcoin to propel it forward.

Everyone loves it but reality will prevail that crypto markets are not going always on its glory days, There's always downfall on it and that one is currently what we experience today But if people cannot afford to hold their positions will be the losers since they will not earn with their tokens new ATH if they will sold off what they have. And I'm expecting to see some another pumps with it since the petitions of koreans are been approved and they are in the motion again to trade with alts.

Every day or every hour, I did an analysis of crypto prices in various marketcaps.
Although this makes me sluggish, we must be optimistic and believe that they will again increase even with the speed of snails. Right now I can only hope patiently, hold the existing assets, and let it be just like a bank savings.

It is just natural for any  market to move this way, this is called consolidation. Normally this happens when the market was exhausted after a bull run which for bitcoin was a month before. We can expect this phase to last longer because of how high the price went up. When this is over, we can expect another bull run so better prepare for it.

For the bubble moves of Bitcoin Price is just amazing, and really proved  that  it's going dump. but according to your question if it is temporary? yes its true  because cryptro currency is moving on in every seconds and I know that for the following months or years bitcoin will come on the top and we just wait to come up.

You need to understand that in order to see massive swings in the price, the market needs to go for a period of stagnation where prices will try to consolidate and recover before going up/down, it's pretty normal to be honest, especially around January when activity and volume are pretty low.

It might take a while before we see a bull run like the one we witnessed last year that lasted several months before the massive downtrend. And it's hard to say exactly when the market is going to pick up but I'd say we won't see any movements until mid-february or march (this is just me speculating).

So overall, you shouldn't be anxious or frustrated about the state of the market right now, instead, you should you be glad that we're in this slow-paced stage, it means that sooner or later the crypto market will most likely begin a strong uptrend.

Nothing is permanent. Balances are destroyed and the new ones are created, this is the natüre of crypto market. We need to wait for a better upwards trend to make sure the stall is ended.

Market is swinging which is golden opportunity for day traders, you can make good amount of money if you can quickly buy/sell bitcoin, eth in current market.

It might remain same for next few days before another bull run. Bulls and Bear are fighting right now.... Grin

Looking at bitcoin chart I would say that the market is very tight at the moment, so I expect a break to occur during this weekend. A lot of fuss about the CME futures contract ending tomorrow should also act as a catalyst for that break to occur. So I'm guessing that this weekend will be crucial to determine what trend crypto will follow during February. I hope it will be another bull month, after this correction period. If we confirm the down trend, then I guess that bitcoin reaching $5000 or even less is possible, but I'm still bullish on them, specially because of all the recent news regarding the lightning network. Even if the markets fall, they will quickly recover when the LN gets up and running.

It is very frustrating to see the market like this.  We believe Feb will be a better month since a lot of people are prepare for Chinese New Year.  Is that the reason?

Of course it will pick up,last year it was virtually the same thing that happened at the beginning of the year but it gradually picked up and never turned back. Just hodl and relax, there is light at the end of the tunnel.

I see, but I think your explanation is quite too general and subjective. How long then do we expect this 'consolidation' to happen? Studying on the data I have for the past three years, it basically follows a trend, that is, it will try to recover a little but get a mainstream value. As to now, we can see Bitcoin's value getting a mainstream at around $10,000. Even so, it has had climbed up about $16,000 (if I am not mistaken). I think what makes people discontent about this whole scenario is because we all are eyeing for more than what is has reached last year. We all are thinking it can do better. Hence, we take for granted gradual wins because we want something greater than it has ever been. Let us try to be patient, and see when that 'bull run' will take place.

Why are you in a hurry to see some drastic move in the price of bitcoin. The year is still very much young just 25 days into the new year and we are all concerned about what will happen in the whole year. The price of bitcoin whether its going to pick up soon or not, is not certain and everybody expressing opinions that its going to pick up are only expressing hope as no one knows what will happen in the future.

So, if you are expecting to hear some positive words about you waiting till next month that its going to go all boom, you might as well be conscious that it might also go to $5000 or $1000 then you should make your decision fast.
