I'm not sure why you're putting the blame on other people but if I may suggest that you do not panic. Like what others have said, $10k is still huge. I'm sure you remember January last year's value was barely $1k. So, that is a huge growth if you ask me.

This is just part of its volatility in the market. The only thing that we can do is to hold and patiently wait for its value to again increase. This is a phenomena that we can't do nothing about. We can't blame those who are now worried because they are losing money at this moment and as an investor they will just do something to ensure that they won't lose that much which is to sell. Hopefully, things will be better for Bitcoin.

Go sleep you mood jumper. People were complaining about the price to be stuck at $14-$15k, and now the price is hovering between $10-$11k.... People should really stop bitching about the price to be stuck while this market can't justify to go up further than current levels. Faith means nothing in this market, cold hard money does. If you want people to show confidence, then start with it yourself and increase your position at current levels. It's funny how it's always those rookies complaining about the market being stuck or boring, while they keep missing out on perfect buying opportunities -- less talking and more action would be nice!

That's not how it works, apparently. It's not a matter of faith if you'd ask me, but rather business and what's better to do with the money generated in a year of successful trading. There are no known cause as to why this is happening, but then again, we're still in January and yet everyone is already complaining. It's not up to us to decide what happens. I have confidence in bitcoin rising up from this correction but some whales obviously don't think the same and is shorting bitcoin or selling their stash right now, keeping the price down.

Bitcoin isn't 'stuck'. It's just that the few attempts that we've had of breaking out of $11k has been met by corrections. It seems like some actors has an interest of keeping the price down under $12k, and once we break that $12k number for good, we shall be on our way to $15k or even more in no time.

As I said, letting us know has no effect on the price. We're mainly just average joes holding our bitcoins through this. But I have no doubt that bitcoin will overcome this dump, it's just a matter of time right now.

You’re blaming the wrong people, OP. Chances are that if you’re on this forum, you’re genuinely interested in Bitcoin (sans the percentage of users that are here solely to make money from bounties...).

If you look at the last three years, you’ll see a common trend in mid January where the price dips. I personally think that this is due to everyone panic-selling after the holidays, coupled with the news from Asia. I’m actually glad that this shakeout happened. Just the fact that the price is still holding above 10k is great news for me. Much higher than what the prices were last year!

This month, Bitcoin just suffered a dip because of some factors. Some government threatens to ban cryptocurrency exchanges in their country. There is also hacking on certain wallets. These scenarios are just enough to create fear to some bitcoin holder that they sold their stock resulting on the influx of supply in the market. But now things are getting stable.

The bitcoin's pricing has started appreciating and we should used this time to gather a good momentum for future price development. And for those people who panic and sell everything, its very a hard and expensive to learn. I'm sure that when they see the price movement in the last couple of days, they are now scratching their heads because they made one wrong decision. They thought that bitcoin will be on its downfall. lol.

So the dust have settled down, we are no longer stalling. Last 2 days we see bitcoin crossed $11K already. And for those who hodl, its our time to shine, but don't dump yet, this is just the beginning.

We may see bitcoin having a massive bull run if it touches and surpass $12K at the end of the month and the growth will continue to March-April. Exciting time ahead guys.
