Making Paper Backup to PDF but..

Hi there,
I'm new around here, so go easy please.

I have started using the superb bit of software, after watching several tutorials and videos, I decided to download and install 0.96.0 (x64), wallet version 1.35C, of the Armory Wallet to my computer. Everything appears fine but when I go to create a paper backup, the image it generates and saves to pdf (for printing later) only shows 6 of the 9 columns of my root key.

I have tried changing the printer preferences to match my output, I have even tried choosing an over sized paper format. Unfortunately it appears to do the same exact thing over and over again. Is there something I'm missing or doing wrong?

I haven't tried printing directly to printer at this point. I just thought it might be possible to create a printable PDF version first.. But seems I'm struggling. Would someone like to be so kind to shed some light on this. Any help given will be greatly appreciated.

Before you do anything else, you need to update to the latest version of the software, you'll save yourself a lot of heartache.

Also, are you aware that you require Bitcoin Core, downloaded and fully synced? Which will require some 180+Gigs of download (and several hours/days)

Thanks for the info.. Would be nice if there was a clearer, more concise information on the old side to tell some us that site's updates are no longer maintained.

OK.. 
Update..

I have just updated to the latest current version as advised "Armory 0.96.3".

However, attempting to print to PDF still results in the same problem.

Only when the page is set to landscape do I get to see all 9 columns of the root key but there about half of the QR code is completely missing.

In standard portrait mode, the whole QR code is there but only 5 of the 9 columns of the root key is completely readable. On the 6th column, the last digit is chopped off.

Would someone like to attempt to print their Paper Wallet to PDF and tell me, it's only my machine that's doing this? I'm really curious.. Did I just find a bug?

Not sure about your print problem, my paper backups printed fine, but that was with a much older version,  but I have to ask;

Are you creating your new private keys on an online computer?

Are you printing your paper backup on a networked printer?

Is this for a significant amount of value to be stored?

Nope, should I? How is it relevant?

A PDF (portable document file) is a digital document you can open with Adobe Acrobat Reader or Edit using Acrobat Professional. I'm trying to save it directly to USB drive, so I can print it out on another system with a printer attached. I don't have a WI-FI enabled printer.

Is this for a significant amount of value to be stored?

Maybe... I'm pretty sure people create a paper wallet to secure their digital wallets. My alternative to use multiple hardware wallets or a combination but this gives me redundancy allowing me to restore my wealth, whilst keeping it offline.

Thanks for all the security tips jojo69; we can't ever get enough of those. It's always good to make people think about what they're doing, before doing it..  

I believe my setup is fairly secure. I don't mine or tackle social media on the same system I store secure stuff. They're separate and often kept offline for a purpose. For the same reasons, I do not reuse any of my passwords and I don't keep my SSH keys in the same place I piss... So to speak.

I however, still like to create a digital PDF file of my paper wallet.
I fully understand the implications should the drive go walk-about but it's highly unlikely since I work from home and this drive is hardware encrypted.

Curious, what's the point of asking for logs? Will it make creating a PDF file better?
Cause that's all I'm interested in. Everything else is secondary.

Anyway, are you on Win10 or Win8? (The logs say Win8 but that could be a Python bug. I recommend upgrading Python to 2.7.14 if you can.) The problem is that Armory uses a library called Qt 4. We're working on upgrading to Qt 5, which is supported and will hopefully fix intermittent issues like these. In the meantime, it's possible that Qt 4, which has been unsupported for ~3 years now, just doesn't like your setup. (Macs had a similar issue for awhile.) If you don't mind tinkering with Python code, you might be able to set the font to something that'll allow for proper printing. I wouldn't touch the code unless you're reasonably comfortable with editing text files, though, and you know what you're doing.

Kind of looks like you are waiting for this QT5 or fiddling with printer preferences until you get what you need.

Maybe do one thing to get the seed and another to get the QR code?

What are you using to create the pdf? The standard built-in Windows 10 (I assume?) PDF printer/creator?
If you're not averse to it, you could try a 3rd party pdf printer driver. Just tried with NitroPDF on a test wallet (with 0.96.3.992) and had no issue, though I'm on Win 7. I don't vouch for that particular pdf program, but would hope possible malicious activity could be negated by using SecurePrint... though giving it access to your system is still a risk. There are several print to PDF programs available too, not just nitro.
Up to you to weigh up pros and cons, really.

Wasn't clear whether you had, and it wasn't in the logs, but definitely try 0.96.4 RC3/0.96.3.992 as posted earlier by HCP, first.
