I’m not against the new system that theymos implemented but I have my concern about this:

1• What if someone is using this merit system for #throlling:

Ruining an account now is much easier by making multiple account that is copied on one victims account name, example: tweetbit1, tweetbit2... and so on. Then leave a merit points and use as an evidence against you for account and merit farming?

~well known accounts will not be affected by this because it would be obvious but those much low level account will be suspected and how this will be investigated by the DT members.

Just want to hear different opinion from the forum members.

This is very much like negative SEO which is very much common these days in IM field. One solution I think is only taking action against the person sending the merits.

Only downside to this is that you have to leave the person getting the merits even if he is involved.

Where are the alt accounts going to get the sMerits in the first place? Don't they start at 0?

Create the alt account resembling the username you want to target and send him some merits from your account. Give some merits from alt account to target. Done Smiley

My understanding is that you can see who sent merits to any account and when, through the link on their profile page. The real perpetrator would be caught right away!
