Porthub - Association of Communities of Development of new technologies for the decentralized economy.
Porthub is a non-profit institution with legal personality and its own functioning and is governed by internal statutes, and his headquarters are in Lisbon, Portugal.
1 - The purpose of the Porthub Association is to identify, create and promote educational, cultural, and research and development of applications in the areas of programming and new technologies associated with the decentralized economy.
2 - The Association Porthub has more specific objectives as:
(a) - To create nuclei for the development of new technologies associated with the decentralized economy among academic populations, in order to contribute to the development of their individual and social skills in order to prepare each individual for the future and for the new world of decentralization.
b) - Contribute to the implementation of a decentralized society based on the sharing of collective knowledge and the "Free Code", with greater participation of the communities, promoting the fight against info-exclusion and regional, digital asymmetries and distribution of wealth, supporting and developing activities that provide benefits to the communities involved.
c) - Develop the social, technical and academic skills and competencies of the application developer community in the fields of new blockchain technologies with the underlying philosophy of a new society and decentralized, freer and more participatory economy.
d) - Reinforce the emergence of the scientific and technological culture of the new decentralized databases, based on the vision of a decentralized society and economy, to solve the current problems of the excessive centralization of financial resources, favoring contexts of practical experimentation and approach to the communities of the underdeveloped world.
e) - Disseminate and facilitate the perception of the activities, projects, and actors of the sociological, organizational, scientific and technological research process in the area of decentralized databases for the general public and the communities involved.
f) - To contribute to the strengthening of the University and education systems as an active agent in technological change, in the context of the Promotion of the "Free Code" for a Decentralized Society, supporting market opening and a more shared economy for the Prosperity of the World.
g) - Contribute to the participation of local communities in the economy in regional development in the open market, namely through the promotion, dynamization, and implementation of technological projects, including the research and development component focused on public utility.
h) - Create a Forum and "Think Tank" for the Decentralized Society adding, governments. public and private entities, through actions such as seminars, contests, hackathons, conferences, workshops or through the promotion, elaboration, editing, and dissemination of contents, studies, and online publications.
i) - Implement new support modalities in teaching-learning activities and practices of the new decentralized economy through alternative social media communication networks, supported by decentralized database solutions with mobile communications support.
j) - Encourage participation in a more participatory, collaborative and associative Community citizenship through the use of platforms of the new decentralized databases.
