I'm not sure if this is the right place to post but this merit system which was implemented less than a week ago people have already started misusing it or started giving merits with their alts.

Here's one example : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=merit;u=1122909

The account : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=1006592 (nioschka)  , https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=131333 (already red tag before ) (wwzsocki) and https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=809237 (I.Grozni) are sending high amount of merits between them for no reason.

Another example : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=merit;u=1122909

This has been between the accounts : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=1036967 (Andrew1709) and https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=1122909 (Balzhi)

Basically what I'm trying to state is the merit sent isn't really because of the post but maybe a self agreement between the two or maybe their alts. If you guys see more activities similar to this report here.

Additional cheaters :

Sent 50 merits : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=merit;u=831236 i guess he was reported before but he doesn't seems to be tagged.

The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

I'm sure at some point all these cheaters will be dealt with. I think it's just a matter of deciding how. A few DT members have already committed to tagging the cheaters

First of all, cheating is one of basic instinct of human nature. That's not strange at all. The problem is how to correct original rules of merit system in order to get rid of and at least control those cheating behaviour better.

I have missed 4 more activities to be a Member next week, as a result of merit system, my progress will be delayed for a while, might be long time. Of course, I feel very dissapointed, I cannot ignore my true feelings.

However, let's take a look at possitive effects of merit system, which help me to write better, higher-qualitied posts. Those sort of posts which I have not ever written before, it's good, right?

I am very optimistic about the significant impacts of merit system.

Thanks admin Theymos for the great one!

Just because you believe "cheating is one of basic instinct of human nature" doesn't mean we need to tolerate it on this forum. If you get caught cheating, the mods should take appropriate action, including a ban for repeat offenders.
