Do you have any source for this claim? The only famous pizza purchase using bitcoin that I'm aware of is the following: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=137.0.

That was the main objective when Satoshi developed bitcoin: p2p transactions in order to skip the third party who's making a profit from your personal transactions. But nowadays bitcoin is not useful as a currency, fees are too high and confirmation times are too long. Today bitcoin is more of an asset to invest in and can bring good earnings.

Satoshi and Finney  ordered pizza and give the bill through bitcoin , it was priced $25 and 10000 bitcoin.
It was 2009.
That's wrong though, while Satoshi did make the first transaction to a key controlled by Hal,
neither of them were involved in the pizza purchase by laszlo a year later.

You need to learn reading better.
And of course people here know about it, the purchase took place here (or rather was started here).

It is true. I don't know the names of the people who did it or the exact details (not sure if the OP has it exactly right) but the pizza story is well documented. It would be worth millions today.

But sir , recently the transaction time and fee drops in huge quantity. SegWit can further decrease transaction fees by 35 percent as cryptocurrency hardware wallet manufacturer Ledger explained in their site. But the question is how long it will sustain , i hope this will continue forever.

It says:
Quote
After the first bitcoin transaction took place between Satoshi and Hal Finney in 2009, the first recorded purchase was made for buying pizza worth $25. To do so, 10,000 bitcoins were spent.
There are two transactions at play here. The first one was indeed between Satoshi and Finney. The pizza transaction is another transaction, the one that is discussed here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=137.0

Read the thread I linked to above. The pizza maker, as far as we know, never received any bitcoin. User lazslo paid user jercos 10,000 bitcoins in exchange for jercos ordering 2 pizzas for laszlo, presumably paying for them in USD.

He doesn't own that much btc anymore, try reading and investigating a bit more. As nobody really hoped that something simple like this will be worth much like today. Thing is that something like this had to happen as it gives value to bitcoin and cryptocurrency as a whole, it gives it value to be used as a currency.

I feel really bad for the guys that ordered pizza. But, on the other hand, I feel good for him. I guess he saved 10-100 bitcoins in his pocket by now and he is a millionaier.

This story is one of the famous stories about bitcoins..) Yeah, it looks unbelievable but we have a lot of such cases in our history- for ex., platinum price Smiley

Hello,

Laszlo pizza's topic was discussed dozens of times.
But since you discuss it again allow me to say that Laszlo is a great inspiration for me.

As most of you know and the rest will find out now - the pizzas bought by Laszlo was the first historical purchase of a good  paid in cryptocurrency.
What makes Laszlo the first buyer of a good for bitcoins and cryptocurrencies.

Seemingly insignificant event like buying a pizza for some currency.
And in fact an event that helped us - bitcoiners - to be where we are now. We pay with bitcoins for some physical and digital goods on regular basis.
Still it's not yet perfect but just 4-5 years ago it was just a dream... our shared dream ^_^ (I will cry... xD)

You don't have to be great to win.
Not always everything must be great and ostensibly prepared for years.

Sometimes our little actions change the world forever.
It's a beautiful thing in being human. Let's not waste it.

Laszlo thanks again! And again... and again.

ps. difficult weeks ahead of us. Let's be brave and stay away from FUDs!

Have a great weekend everyone,
best wishes.
