What do you think about news that China may allow ICOs in May 2018? If this is the case - neo may have a huge bull run. Neo devcon is coming at the end of Jan and I already expect so many big news (if there is collaboration with Trinity)... If we add allowing icos in China to scalabilty - I expect possible neo double in price till may. Edited 27.01.2018: Just saw a lot of people asking to provide a link to the news. Below there is a link. Still it's not confirmed. Only rumors. Maybe fake. http://bitcoinist.com/chinese-official-new-regulations-2018-may-end-ico-ban/I don't want this post creating false hopes or negative replies. It's discussion. Would like to see different opinions.

hmm could you please let us know where did you get information that could happen in May? I saw a news about it, but didn't see anywhere 'May', maybe I missed something? Anyway, I think NEO will be the bigger winner when that happens. I started to accumulate NEOs a few days after China ban ICO-s just to hold them till china remove it.

Given the current political climate there, it's unlikely that they will stop cracking down on the crypto currency trading, mining and funding. So putting ICO back is unlikely. There are talks about a blockchain based digital CNY, but there is no timeline as to when that will be available.

"May" meaning there is a possibility but not final yet. It depends on thier government if it will be beneficial or more harm to their citizen and government. But, in my opinion its better to regulate it and only those legit company can offer ICO upon fully prepared and submit all requirements to government.

Well, in this news there is a lot of water and no specific deadlines or plans. Everything is very vague. If this happens in reality, then NEO, and many projects based on this platform will greatly increase in price. But with China something to plan - it's not possible. From this country you can expect anything.

Wow that will be so huuuge, where I can find news about neo? But in my opinion this will not happen, the goverment is very strict. They would bend all their rules...

I think the real question here is will NEO let the government have some influence over them? Anything in competition to the countries vision can be taken down easily however it also means that if accepted will only ever succeed.

Other countries are profiting right now from the China bad decision to ban the ICOs. I don't know at which point exactly was that decision made but I know for sure that they are already watching the consequences of their actions. They are losing major deals with the developers and every major company that is involved in the crypto business. With that said I truly believe that China will allow the ICO flow again!( maybe even sooner than stated in the thread)

I saw and interview of Da Hong Fei. I understood that they have very good relations with government (of course it's not officially disclosed, but could be logically understood) as they actually created blockchain for governemnt (onchain). They started creating very good ecosysytem around neo and promoting NEO projects and they invest in those projects. It looks like they are trying to build whole blockchain ecosystem on Neo. And my intuition is that this will be created for China. By the way legally ICOs are not banned in China, they are allowed but for certain investors. Devcon is coming and Da Hong Fei and Ceo of Trinity both say there will be something special on Devcon in January. Let's see what they prepared...

Why would they ban bitcoin and other fairly distributed non scams and then allow ico's to return.
Does not add up does it?

if China allows ICO in May then I'm sure the altcoin price will increase again in May, because the volume of purchases will increase in May as Chinese people start investing in ICO and altcoin again, my expectation is that my prediction is correct that in May later the price of altcoin will increase again because China allows ICO in May later.

Why do they have to restart ICO? There is a serious corruption problem in their country. If you can participate in ICO, there may be a lot of corrupt officials transferring assets through ICO, which is a problem that the regime in this country is unwilling to face.

May or may not, but the higher probability is that may not because if they allow this many of the business establishment and trading firms in their country will be greatly affected because another competition will be added and there is also the scamming issue which they are very strict on it.

I think its very unlikely that china will allow the ICO'S if it dose it think the eth price will go up more than any other coin.

I am sure that nothing grand will be done after the lifting of the ban, all projects of the Chinese can be implemented in the nearest countries, Russia, Singapore, Japan

Can you please share some proof of this rumors? I need to see some evidences to believe. For me there is no chance for allowing ICO in China. But this will make a nuke effect on ethereum.
