Shall we create new sMERIT Board ?

Hello Bitcointalkers & Modertaors,

After going through sMERIT system I found that it looks like a completely different matter. There is huge crowd on one side who loved this system right after it was launched, however there is a portion of crowd who thinks that this system is not fair at all.

The unfairness might be coming becaus they think that their posts/work in the forum will never get reviewed and they may not receive the sMerits for themselves leading to halt in their growth. Apart from that there are people who actually think that the community is so big that their posts will get lost in the back pages and they might need to face hard time getting recognition!

To get everyone on the same page, I believe that we should create a completely new board with the name sMERIT itself. The features can be added such that it will concern to everyone problem and will sort out the whole thing u dear one roof.

If you look around the forum, the fire of threads has started regarding the sMERIT leaving behind the junk all over. The principle of sMERIT is to create qualitative system and not the reverse one.

With sMERIT Board . .

1) Everyone can request their assessment or can offer the assessment for others on their will.

2) This will boost the whole sMERIT process and it will be great help for the managers to look after their coworkers under one roof.

3) The principle of this Board will be unique and thus no matter what everyone will gather under this board to help each other to improve their qualities.

4) Excelletm quality examples can be shown under this board and thus it could help fellow members to learn how to post including the current members too.

5) All the rest boards present, will get attention to their own specified subjects and not just the sMERIT.


I would be grateful if you guys go through this and think about it once.

We can always have different solutions but I believe this one could revolutionise the sMERIT system in better ways.

I don't think it's needed just yet but we should see how things develop. Most threads about merit currently are just people whining about the system because it's new and to their disadvantage etc but those will soon die down, but if it becomes an issue where people are just begging for merit or constantly asking to become a merit source and so on a new sub board should probably be created because Meta will just get messy and be over run with those sorts of threads (which I envision will likely happen). There's also the issue of people accusing others of abusing the system by farming or buying merit etc which will likely only get more prevalent and need to be looked into.

Yes, so you do see my point here when things will get lot more messy in the near future. I’m just thinking about the new board because it can actually support both the parties, the one who is blaming the system and the one who are already on the right page.

I think with new board it will become easier to keep watch on suspicious activity like this. The dots can be connected!

Anyways, It would be fantastic to see where the whole thing leads to this forum with that system.
