ChapInRed gave me permission to share his PMs about claiming BSV from old sent-to-pubkey transactions. First: move your BTC to a safe new wallet. Then dust your BCH and eCash addresses to make sure you have replay protection. Move BCH, BTG, eCash and BCD to a new wallet. Now all that's left (ignoring the worthless forks) is BSV. BSV is the most annoying Fork with very shitty software. Don't trust it on your main computer, use a spare system or VM (and wipe it afterwards!) Forget ElectrumSV: Use BSV's Bitcoin Core clone (which doesn't have a GUI): Start again with bitcoind, sync blocks for a while, take offline, backup the .bitcoin folder to use again later Import one private key so I only have one UTXO to possibly use at once. bitcoin-cli sendtoaddress "[receiving address from ElectrumSV" <amount-in-address> "test" "ElectrumSV" true(true at the end is for subtractfeefromamount) bitcoin-cli gettransaction [hex string from output of above]Copy the hex transaction string from this Checked it in https://whatsonchain.com/decode - looks correct Tried to broadcast it on https://whatsonchain.com/broadcast~ I can restore the .bitcoin folder and do each of those 2 private keys in turn. it worked! 6 confirmations ~ Yes, the importing one privkey at a time method was just to do simple coin control. Looks like the lockunspent command would be another way.
Happy for you to quote or reuse as you wish. As we're using an incomplete blockchain on disk, the conf file needs disablesafemode=1 added somewhere, otherwise you get nowhere (at least with the commands I was using).
I just started bitcoind in one terminal (using Ubuntu) and once that was running without throwing errors, I entered the bitcoin-cli commands in another terminal. bitcoin-cli stop will stop bitcoind gracefully.

Don't be like the guy who lost a small fortune in Forkcoins by sending one of them to Coinbase and losing another to the lack of replay protection.

Don't be like this guy and lose about $45k in Fork coins by posting the key online: After:

Bump! This guy just recovered $4,867,000 in BCH alone (and has some other Forkcoins left). Dislaimer: I had nothing to do with this transaction.

I have old paper wallet created and funded back in october 2017. It was also sweeped long tine ago in 2020. or 2021.
Is there any mobile wallet for BCH that supports sweep feature so I can just sweep BCH (if there is any) to exchange?
Even better would be multi coin wallet that supports all forks and has sweep feature, but it's probably not existing :/

I have old paper wallet created and funded back in october 2017. BCH was created 3 months earlier, so you won't have it (which also takes away the chance of finding the derived forks). BTG was created October 24, but the price dropped about 99.9% by now so it's not worth it. Is there any mobile wallet for BCH that supports sweep feature I don't know (but I wouldn't trust it enough to install it if it existed). Even better would be multi coin wallet that supports all forks and has sweep feature, but it's probably not existing :/ There were attempts in the past, but the large majority of Forkcoins is really not worth the bytes they take.

Thank you, I just found my paper wallet and noticed that ink faded away (it was printed on thermal printer on paper for receipts), so you saved me trouble of writing private key manually

I'm curious though: why would you use thermal paper for anything important? It is by far the most unreliable printing system I've ever seen. For what it's worth: typing private keys is easy, as long as you can read them.

I bought it from only BTC ATM machine available in my city. It gave out private keys on receipt slips if you didn't input on which address to send BTC. At that time setting wallet and generating adressess seemed complicated to me so I was really happy with my simple receipt wallet

So, BTG dropped about 99.5% since it's peak and isn't even supported on any exchange I know anymore. BCD is almost as worthless. eCash is dropping and BSV is about the same. It adds up to about $40 tops for each Bitcoin owned at Fork time.
The only Forkcoin that's still worth the effort (although only 1% of the BTC price it peaked at) is BCH, currently worth $543 dollars on CMC.

Self-Custody is a right. Say no to "non-custodial"

BTG is $0.78 on Uphold, and $1.5436 (or 0.00001330 BTC) on HitBTC. Like you mentioned, I am not sure if it is in other locations. I am pretty sure that at one point I could have had sold my BTG for around 0.05 BTC...

1) Self-Custody is a right. Resist being labelled as: "non-custodial" or "un-hosted." 2) ESG, KYC & AML are attack-vectors on Bitcoin to be avoided or minimized. 3) How much alt (shit)coin diversification is necessary? if you are into Bitcoin, then 0%......if you cannot control your gambling, then perhaps limit your alt(shit)coin exposure to less than 10% of your bitcoin size...Put BTC here: bc1q49wt0ddnj07wzzp6z7affw9ven7fztyhevqu9k

BTG and BCD have been worthless for a while now, BSV and eCash are also dropping and close to worthless. That leaves just BCH, which in most cases is easy to claim, an even went up in value a bit this year. All in all there's not much left to claim. In retrospect, the crazy fork times didn't last long.
