Shitposting is generally making extremely poor quality content with not much effort going into them and/or done in very poor English. For those who struggle with English it is suggested they stick to their local language board or thread. The rules can be found stickied in Meta along with stickies in other sub boards that you should read before posting in them.

posts that don't have quality and constructive. Also it's not mean that all posts must have constructive. If all posts must  have constructive, half posts here on BCT are shitposts

Well it's not entirely fair to tell people to stick to their local boards just because English isn't their mother language, is it? Most local boards offer limited content and discussion, as such, people want to be where the majority of the action is going on.

However, there should be a distinction between people who are not native speakers but making a genuine effort to write good posts, and those who blatantly use google translate to translate whatever they wrote in their mother language, and just copy and paste without checking the content. The second group should not be excused.

Shit-posts means posts which are non-sense, off-topic, plagirised, low-qualitied ones. Most of those sort of posts come from (often) newbies and farming accounts. They are created almost for cheating money from the forum. It's not good, generally, so dont' do that, please.

As you followed news about merit system, which has been released and operated some days ago. This one will help to clean up our forum from shit-posting and spammers.
There is link to merit requirement and rankings.

Life isn't fair. It's not fair that every other user has to read all the barely legible shitposts smeared everywhere. This is an English speaking forum and if you can't speak English very well then you shouldn't be posting here but that's why the local boards were created so those people have somewhere to discuss bitcoin (regardless of how active they are and boards like the Philippines and Indonesia are very active due to all the shitposters). I don't go to Spanish speaking forums and 'try' speak Spanish because it would be an embarrassing garbled mess and that's what's happened on this forum, because there are so many kids who quite blatantly can't speak English very well if at all just writing rubbish to get paid and it's extremely annoying as well as disruptive.

However, there should be a distinction between people who are not native speakers but making a genuine effort to write good posts, and those who blatantly use google translate to translate whatever they wrote in their mother language, and just copy and paste without checking the content. The second group should not be excused.

There is a distinction. It's not the people who are making the effort that are the problem but the people who don't speak English fluently writing just one liners of nonsense. Those people really shouldn't be posting in English.

I dont want to mention or use the terms like legal or ilegal activities or behaviours. I would prefer the terms like possitive or negative ones. For the case of posting, you can post negatively or possitively, that depends largely on your original approach in the forum. In recent days, discussion about how to get merit in order to be ranked up as a result of new lauched merit system are so hot, and get attention of many users in the forum.

Of course, you can get merit points in both possitive and negative ways. Increasing your points by improving your post's quality or getting more merits from buying, exchanging, cheating, etc.

Does it make sense? Think possitive, make something different than usual things they have done daily till now. Something strange, amazing will come to you. Good luck.

You should adapt in order to our society, particularly in modern one. My mother tounge is not English too. So don't worry or complain about that. If you want to get international scholarship, you should and have to prepare your English skills as best as possible and getting as high IELTS score as possible, right?
Merit system is almost the same. Let's think possitive and do all your best.

Totally agree! Life is unfair, it's always true. Life always changes over time, too, so we have to as adaptable as possible to be survived with new challenges.

With new rules of new ranking system and merit points required for ranking up, users in the forum have to be more constructive, more possitive thinking, more knowledgeable, more generous to get merits that they wanted to have in order to upgrade to next rank.

I guess that what Theymos wanted from us, besides the fact that he also want to control, if not eliminate spammers and shitty posts out of the forum forever.

Let's join the challenge of merit system and change the forum, everyone.

Shit posting is seemed to be explained easily with poor English and low quality posts and so on. But from my own experience, the forum is full of different kinds of people and there are subjects who can call your posts, which is actually normal and shows your own opinion on the point as a shitpost, just because of they do not agree with you.
