If you have 1000 btc then never keep it in one place, divide it into 5 different wallets, the most important thing to make secure bitcoin of course is to activate all security features available.
Yes right, by enabling all security features provided it will make the hacker dizzy and almost impossible to steal bitcoin, I also do that, and by enabling Google authenticator then I am very sure that security is guaranteed.

One of the best choices is Hardware wallets, here are some of them.
Some are indented for long term storage others more for daily use. Take your pick,

  • Digital Bitbox https://shiftcrypto.ch/ Encrypted USB communication, tamper-resistant chips, native software that excludes the risk associated with browser-based extensions.
  • Keepkey https://www.keepkey.com/ The decently sized crystal clear screen of the device makes it easy for the user to navigate its menus. Top quality product.
  • Trezor https://trezor.io/ It is one of the older names in the cryptocurrency wallets business. The first line of defense for the Trezor device is a distinctive PIN code
  • Ledger Nano S https://www.ledgerwallet.com/ Supports most currencies and is top seller at the moment.
  • OpenDimes https://opendime.com/ Opendime is a small USB stick that allows you to spend Bitcoin like a  dollar bill. Pass it along multiple times. Connect to any USB to check  balance. Unseal anytime to spend online. Trust no one.
  • Tangem https://tangem.com/ The new kid on the block. The first smart banknote for digital assets.

Any Bitcoin address not starting with 1 is fraud and scam Full (20 coins) Cryptomarket History

There are a lot of articles on how to protect your bitcoins with the help of specially designed software. You should look for such guides on how to make coins safe and be careful because there are a lot of scams

How to secure Bitcoin, as follows:

1. As Developers familiarize feedback from users to minimize Error Code errors that occur in DAO Attacks.
2. Stay relaxed to get information from emails or other messages that require you to do something, emotionally and in a hurry that is being used by hackers.
3. In storing the cryptocurrency assets you always order and record, where and how to save private key? How to prevent precautions if your place to store lost / damaged? Have some digital backup and wallet in the form of hardware or wallet printing.

in my opinion to store your bitcoin safely. so as not to steal others. we can make a personal key that may be quite complicated and then you can store it in a place that you think is very safe. and tell your relatives what happened to you. and your bitcoin can be inherited by your child.

I think the most significant advantage of Bitcoin is the support of many investors as well as many supporters. Next week we will see reasonable levels of price dynamics of the virtual currency. Many people believe that the fluctuation of Bitcoin is a bad thing.

The best way to secure you bitcoin is if you buy hardware wallet , I would recommend you Ledger wallet but you must buy if from official site. Don't even think to look that stuff on ebay or already use it because you will lose all your bitcoin. If you don't wanna invest in that, then you can use blockchain wallet with 2FA option. I get mail + sms when I want login.

You should be wary of any service designed to store your money online. Many exchanges and online wallets suffered from security breaches in the past and such services generally still do not provide enough insurance and security to be used to store money like a bank. Accordingly, you might want to use other types of Bitcoin wallets. Otherwise, you should choose such services very carefully. Additionally, using two-factor authentication is recommended.

A Bitcoin wallet is like a wallet with cash. If you wouldn't keep a thousand dollars in your pocket, you might want to have the same consideration for your Bitcoin wallet. In general, it is a good practice to keep only small amounts of bitcoins on your computer, mobile, or server for everyday uses and to keep the remaining part of your funds in a safer environment.

The only way that guarantees that no one will ever get to yout bitcoins is a cold wallet like BTC Core or Electrum. But I personally don't have so many to use cold wallets, just keep different accounts at Localbitcoin and Binance

You should make sure that you register only in the global and leading Bitcoin company, as well as learn how to identify Bitcoin frauds may occur.

It is important that you take certain steps for your own security so that you can avoid possible losses.

There are some basic security steps that we will discuss in this article, namely:

Secure your email account Secure your social media accountUse unique and powerful passwords for all online accountsEnabling two-factor authentication (two-factor authentication)

How to Secure Bitcoins?
in between how to keep our bitcoin safe from ahocer.
do not store your bitcoin in one wallet.
often cleaning the virus.
if there is trading using bitcoin store bitcoin in the application that you use to trade sufficiently. and the rest keep deposits in the wallet .and most importantly use double protection in your wallet. such as profitable Google authenticator. do not install apps that do not know where the source is .

first of all you will need a bitcoin-purse. The main task of the bitcoin of the wallet is to store the secret key that is needed to access the bitcoin address and, accordingly, to your means.

I think everybody knows the importance on securing your crypto assets. So no further preaching on that.

How I (our business) does it?

1. Liquid amount on exchange (like 3-4%) - its a major exchange
2. Desktop wallets for other 3-4% of liquidity (no multi sig. management direct access)
3. rest is on 4 different hw wallets (ledger) in 4 different bank vaults.
4. private key backup done with cryptosteel (love those things) in different banks (key never complete on 1 slide).

all in all, our funds are in hw wallets in 3 different countries with 4 different banks.

The best protection is still to make sure no one knows that you have a lot of crypto and can assign you to any wallet/address.
Works as well with FIAT.

Blockchain itself is secure. that makes us feel secure. In part, manage your personal information with email, phone, computer with your own security measures. Stop sharing information and related devices.

Store it in your hardware wallet or a mobile version. Online wallet is kinda risky but when you set a highly security then it will be more safe.
keep your private keys to yourself our keep it in a safe or somewhere that you're the only one who knows.
