Dear everybody,
I have a special (and bad) issue that never happened To me and creating a bit of pain about electrum.

I moved 0.275 btc from a bitpanda account of a friend to his electrum wallet.
Outgoing transaction is done but electrum wallet received a transaction with 0btc instead of the amount!

how can be and how can i solve?? it's around 2500€... not a little money!
And as i suggested him to invest in btc and to use electrum as the best and safe software wallet i feel a bit in fault...

https://www.smartbit.com.au/address/1LocrF7CRP9m9RcddKrVr94GfLUR66VVuM

here is transaction details and i hope there is a solution to see this money again on his wallet.
does somebody knows how i can be helped to receive the btc back?

many thanks in advance to everybody

According to your address you received the amount 0.275 btc if you didn't receive it to your electrum wallet i think there's a problem about syncing your wallet to the server
Can you check the electrum wallet if the circle in the bottom right corner is red or green?
Also check the bitcoin address carefully. And the other reason that i think that is why you still not receive it to your electrum the transaction fee is too low.
But its should reflect to your electrum wallet your transaction is already 27 confirmation so if you still didn't show the recent transaction from electrum the possibilities are your wallet couldn't connect to the network or you send your bitcoin to the wrong address..
Let me ask if what electrum version you are using?

Hi eagleman and BitMaxz,
first at all thanks a lot for spending time to understand the issue, I'm really pleased to receive your answer.
I'm not happy to inform you that the electrum is still not working and, as I read, I'm not the only one experiencing this issue I have never seen before, after months of usage without any issue.

PS 1:
As I posted this topic two times (here and in the generic electrum thread) I will go on here to explain the problem details.
(previous posts with another user experiencing the same issue can be found here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2829027.0)

PS 2:
I'm a senior php developer and not a crypto beginner, so please trust what follows and I'm happy to have found a way to "bring" electrum to show an error in windows so you can also experience it and debug.

Before going on:
1) The wallet is standard (no segwit) and btc address used is correct
2) I restored the wallet (originally in android) also in windows and problem still persists
3) Tried to restore 3.0.5 and also previous version 3.0.4: same error
4) Tried to change any server available (auto connect off on android and windows). Wallet stays in "syncronising" status for a lot and anything else happens

ANY OTHER TEST (I did several) FAILS, BUT I FOUND A WAY TO SHOW THE CRASH OF ELECTRUM ON THE BLOCKCHAIN IMPORT

I used this electrum wallet (installed to a non-expert friend under my suggestion) just to receive two payments through bitpanda.

PAYMENT 1) Jan 21, 2018 7:26:52 PM
https://www.smartbit.com.au/tx/c8a962695ee04ad479064b894170350d7140f36149470dc5374ea097ee36f8c8
WALLET: 1LGMbP8kCeWJ8oQeVaoRfYRguFsrExaVnR (first address in the list of addresses of the wallet)
AMOUNT: 0.17004005 BTC
Status: payment received, balance updated.

PAYMENT 2) Jan 26, 2018 7:18:52 PM
https://www.smartbit.com.au/tx/b18a38be693a5dca1aae2326351cb80c3ca64616559f0c4c5c9b6d2d8841d9cb
WALLET: 1LocrF7CRP9m9RcddKrVr94GfLUR66VVuM (third address in the list of addresses of the wallet)
AMOUNT: 0.27569181 BTC
Status: payment RECEIVED BUT 0 BTC AMOUNT, balance NOT UPDATED, electrum still in "syncronizing"

HOW TO SEE THE ERROR IN ELECTRUM (WINDOWS)
Tools -> Load transaction -> from the blockchain

1) FIRST TX c8a962695ee04ad479064b894170350d7140f36149470dc5374ea097ee36f8c8 WORKS AND SHOWS DETAILS
2) SECOND TX b18a38be693a5dca1aae2326351cb80c3ca64616559f0c4c5c9b6d2d8841d9cb ELECTRUM CLOSES WITH ERROR WINDOWS

I seriously hope it will be possible to understand the matter, because as you tell, the BTC amount is associated to the right wallet address but my friend cannot use his 2500€ in BTC (not little money!).
As I suggested him to invest in BTC, trust cryptos and use electrum as the safest software wallet... I really feel in fault for this situation... it was the second time he was changing EUR to BTC!!
So I hope there will be a solution for it.

I also hope to have provided enough information to test the source code until the problem is found and solved.
In any case the problem looks like to be something new, as you can see 5 days ago I did exactly the same procedures from the same exchange and everything worked perfect.
The only difference is that on the second tx I used the third address in the list instead of the default (first) address.

Can be bitpanda (or somebody else in between) changed a procedure from standard to segwit and this doesn't work on standard wallets anymore?

Let me know if you need screenshots or everything else can be helpful.
Best regards
Fabio

I have the exact same problem. It was my first BTC transaction ever, wallet is still in sync with 0,0000 BTC but 105 confirmations.

Oh and it was Bitpanda > Electrum too.

I tried to reinstall from Seed and changed Server several times....

Thats a really bad start for me  Undecided

Somebody probably found the real problem and posted the solution in the other thread. Please look at

Sorry for this double posting issue in 2 categories... my fault.
