So I have downloaded everything and it's working all right, but one of my usb ports isn't being assinged a com number.  Most of the ports in my devices panel in windows say "Silicon Labs CP210x USB to UART Bridge (COM#)"  But this port just says: "CP2102 USB to UART Bridge Controller"

I know it's this port because when I unplug this particular USB stick, the "CP2102 USB to UART Bridge Controller" goes away, but when I plug it back in, the "CP2102 USB to UART Bridge Controller" in printers and devices is back and there is a steady green light on the usb miner.  Anyone want to venture a guess as to what is going on and how I fix it?  I did not run into this problem on my other rig!

Of note: this problem port is directly on the computer.  The other ports are all through powered hubs.

There's your answer.  The BE probably isn't getting enough power directly from the PC.

I have my 11th BE plugged in to the 2-port hub in my monitor.
