Betting in bitcoin is legal or illegal?

Its not illega at all. I know a lot of people who bet in bitcoin. I think the reason why this forum exist  here in gambling section because in bitcoin gambling is part of it. People gamble their money hoping to double theri profit.

I think that what is meant is illegal and legal in the legal sense. some countries say Betting with Bitcoin is legal and there are some who claim it is illegal. If compared then only a few countries that do legal gambling game, maybe only 1 percent to 3 percent in this world.

I think it depends on the government in a country when the government legalizes gambling like in Las Vegas (USA) than betting on bitcoin can be legal because there are so many different kinds of bets in that place. However, when betting is an activity that is prohibited in a country than whatever the bet is either using bitcoin or not then the gamble becomes illegal and the people who do the activity will get punishment in the country does have a regulation banning the gamble.

It is not true that the government of the Philippines is planning to ban bitcoin gambling.  I believe the only thing that they are planning to ban are those that have no license or proper documents to operate.  Philippines do legalized gambling as long as we are playin in a licensed casinos.  Aside from that, Bitcoin is also accepted by the government as mode of payment so betting with bitcoin is not illegal as long as you are betting on the licensed casino.

Exactly, I haven't listened to anyone that Philippines are doing it. If they are doing it then they are ban unlicensed casinos, and bitcoin gambling is an other way from it. He should give us some link about this news. In all over the world, governments are doing and ban unlicensed casinos, and it is a normal thing, it is not a surprising and illegal thing for us.

I think betting on bitcoin may be banned in such places where casinos are not legal, for example in Islamic states gambling is illegal either you play gambling using fiat currency or crytpo currency, you are not allowed to play gambling in both condition, but it may also be consider as illegal where bitcoin is already considered as illegal. In such places we can only use fiat currency for playing gambling.

Is it legal or not doesn't depends from people who bet. You think wrong is what I can say to you, rethink it, maybe you will be able to say something logical after that.
I live in Serbia, South Europe, and until now my government didn't say anything about bitcoin. When there is no law about bitcoin then yoibare free to so what you wish with your bitcoins sell them or gamble them. Generally in my country you can find many casinos, small ones, but they are on every corner. Gambling is legal and if you wish to open casino you need license, I believe the same will be with bitcoin. When my country government open eyes and start to see crypto they will make some laws about bitcoin gambling, but until then I will enjoy in my freedom.

Legalization of any activity is the duty of government. Many countries do not allow its citizens to gamble. But anyone who wants to gable can actually gamble in the present era of information technology. Gamblers also place online bets. There are tons of gambling websites.

In addition to this, one can also prevent himself being traced out by hiding his activities on internet. Gambling is a matter of individual’s willingness only.

no. not all. not all gambling are legal because there were also illegal gambling that do not have a permit to operate. there is no difference between crypto gambling and the traditional gambling that uses fiats as medium to do bets and it doesnt mean online they arent illegal anymore , infact majority of online gambling are mostly illegal because they think that setting it up online wont possibly caught them but their are actually wrong because cyber crime unit are always hunting for them.

In some countries i think that online gambling is illegal, which explains why most of the domain names for gambling sites is Indian ocean (.io), and the reason why people are using bitcoin for this sort of thing is because not only as you said accessible, but also due to the fact the online gambling with real money has many requirements such as ID verification, certain amount that you can start betting with and other limitations.

Not all bitcoin is legal. some countries is not allowed to betting but yes sometimes they don't care the rules to play that.
You don't need to predict to play in gambling, it depends on your luck to bet it.

Since i live in a country where bitcoin or any cryptocurrencies are not an issue so i would say that betting bitcoin is not an illegal. But still and what others said that i will always be depend on the country that we live in. I heard that there are certain countries that banned or made bitcoin illegal to use or patronize therefore usage of it will also be illegal.
