Don't store all your coins in one single wallet. Try to split and store in different type of wallets. Hardware , Paper , Desktop , Web wallet.

I prefer coinomi although it does not have much coins like MEW. MEW to me is too expose to the public. For instance, someone can view your MEW and that could be risky. I also like paper wallet , just for selected coin so that if anything goes wrong, you just losing a coin and not perhaps all your coins as in other wallets.
