Crazy, went from being a innocent newbie just getting into Bitcoin wanting a donation to masterminding his own scheme to scam Bitcoins all in the space of 3 day.

Even in the event that an attacker gains more than 50% of the network's computational power, only transactions sent by the attacker could be reversed or double-spent. The network would not be destroyed.

I've been following Jerry (aka: DakotaEllington) on his youtube channel for a long time.  One of the reasons for creating this coin was to provide additional SHA-256 coins to mine for people who's USB Eruptors and Jalapenos are becoming obsolete in the coming few months.

Anyways, the OP of this thread is not Jerry.  He's been alerted by other forum members on cryptocointalk.com

https://cryptocointalk.com/topic/1092-pre-ann-butterflycoin-bfc-pre-announcement/?p=5505

Jerry is a genuine/honest person and will never try to pull this "send donations for password" BS.  His videos speak for themselves.

Also, Jerry is is from Alabama and as far as I know he does not speak German.  If you check the OP's previous posts you will know what I'm talking about.

Well, you don't have to if you don't want to.

I personally don't cuz I don't have any ASIC gear and my GPUs are all pointed to LTC.

You can check out his video regarding his coin, if your "question" is genuine that is.

I tried solo mining this coin with my CPU and found a block in one day. This Jerry guy is quite a character btw. You should definitely watch some of his videos. I love them  Smiley

[...]
Some Specs:
SHA-256 based
30 sec block targets
Re-target every 2 blocks
POW / POS
30 coins per block
7 billion total coins (one for each human currently alive at time of release)
Fair release

Although this is considered a Scam (and I concur with that impression) I try to derive something useful from this thread. Maybe a little bit of technical background information on how PoS might be able to work?
Can you please explain how PoS works at Butterflycoin? I mean, the leading PoW/PoS crypto coin (and btw. the first one that implemented a working PoS mechanism!) doesn't have a hard cap. A reward for putting the coins at stake incentivizes the miners to secure the network by generating PoS blocks.

How does Butterflycoin achieve this? Or what happens if the 7 billion cap is reached after roughly 222 years (if my math is correct). Is Butterflycoin the at the end by then (I know it is some time until then, but it looks like broken by design)?

Or should I be less formal and just say:

Would be nice to find this at Butterflycoin.
All who doubt finding it there might consider Peercoin Wink
