Would it be wrong to open a thread were people could link messages that they think deserve merit and did not get any, including their own post or anyone´s??

Yes it would be wrong in my opinion.

There are already enough threads like this, and if you include your own posts, then it could be consideredto be begging

I already made such  a list here where you can post if you have made some deserving posts:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2832127.msg29032781#msg29032781

Apply in the threads mentioned there only if you have posted some good content here. Do not beg.

I've also made such a thread, particularly related to the best contributions to the Help & Beginners board. You can find it here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2852912.msg29271409#msg29271409

If you were to create such a thread, you should keep it board specific and post it on the board. Posting in Meta ensures that it will fade into the pages and be forgotten. For example, anyone interested in valuable threads about mining will go to the Mining board.

deserve merit and did not get any, including their own post or anyone´s??

YOU should go to the threads we're sharing with you here and start adding to the merit these threads deserve!

I would be interested in knowing how many o these are around, not just to beg for some merit  Grin but to see good quality posts all together without having to wonder around the forum.
