Sent bitcoin from Mt. Gox to the address in the bitcoin client.

Gox indicated it was sent, about 30 minutes ago. Balance in client is still 0.00.

So, I went to block explorer, and the transaction is there. It shows a balance associated with that address.

It shows how much I transferred, but the Bitcoin client on my desktop is still showing 0.00.

Am I being too impatient, or have I done something wrong with the client? There doesn't seem to be any way to find out if the client is properly connected to the internet or not.

Thanks.

if you see it in block explorer, it'll for sure show up any second/minute/hour now.

Thanks.

Actually, I think there was an issue with the connection between the client and the internet. I realized that my client had no connections, no blocks, no nothing. I didn't realize until I looked around that those numbers were supposed to be going somewhere.

I was trying the client on a work computer, so I'm going to try it again when I get home. I copied my wallet.dat file to a flash drive and wrote down the address, so I'll try it from home.
