Hello Folk, is it the time for ethreum to lead from the front ? As bitcoin is going through rough ride along with other altcoins but ethreum is turning out to be more stable platform for investment and also new ICO's are based on ethreum. Do you think Ethreum will dethrone bitcoin from 1st rank of crypto this year?
In terms of stability, ETH is probably more stable than BTC. The development of ETH in recent times is very good, value and total capitalization increased quite high. But to beat Bitcoin and take first rank, I think it's not strong enough. Bitcoin is fluctuating sharply, but its value and capitalization are much higher than ETH. Its development process is also longer than ETH. We've seen Bitcoin crumbling a few years ago, value dropped to $ 500 but it still comes back and thrives stronger |

Yes after the bitcoin the ethereum will be the king of the crypto because allmost all the altcoin transaction I done by the ethereum blockchain technology

I strongly believe that ethereum will continue to increase in value despite the fact that there was a serious down fall of all crypto currency, ethereum stands tall as compared to other coins.

I think it is still not possible to Ethereum to dethrone Bitcoin, because Bitcoin is much more recognizable and supported more widely.
I see ETH with support a lot and trend ICO now. It can do anything. BTC have many way to down |

At this point, only Bitcoin can be the king of the crypto-currency market. Etherium is a very promising coin, but so far it can not surpass Bitcoin. And where are guarantees that a year later the Etherium will not go down as Bitcoin is now?

I think it will be for this year, but if it cant support the volume of transactions in the long term, that will be its downfall.

There are some problems that can cause ethereum not to be first in cryptomarket, first is if the bitcoin implements lightning network, that would make him a very serious competitor as for now it only lives by its name, second is NEO, that is basically chinese ethereum and if china regulates crypto market than all chinese ICOs (which would make a very big market portion) will go over NEO, and that could really harm ethereum. Also one big positive for ETH is that it has a real chance at this moment, neither neo is having everything clear with their china regulations, neither btc has lightning network close, and everybody secretly wants to see someone else on the throne, and if eth gets the momentum than i see the chance this year it might happen

I don't think ETH will take so much time to be the king of cryptocurrency market. As you can see 2018 is the era of ICO project and ETH blockchain is the hinge of almost ICO project cause almost new token created depend on ETH blockchain so I think in this year ETH price will increase 2 or 3 times better than last year. In 2017, ETH price increased more than 8000% and I believe that in this year it'll be 10k% or maybe even more than that  |

Ethereum is more modern and technologically advanced platform in comparison with bitcoin. It is the basis for many other projects. If bitcoin system does not develop, understanding its weaknesses, then perhaps ethereum will take the first position.

Ethereum is already the King of Cryptocurrency since the beginning because Bitcoin is the Queen and the Mother of the Cryptocurrency back early 2010.
Ethereum is the most important Cryptocurrency in the market as it fills the gap between Bitcoin and Cryptocurrency scalability and speed and other important aspects that basically useful to Cryptocurrency wide adaptation to the users.

I do not see that coming. Not today nor in the near future. I always see a bright future in etherium but not replace the top spot owned by bitcoin. For me bitcoin will always rule and the king fir all altcoins. Possibilities are their, but the question is how. And will it really happen?

I think the same with you . People used to convert their profits from alt coins to bitcoin but for 2 months they are preferring ethereum instead . It may not be the king of crypto currency yet but i think it will be this year. It could be a wise move to take side with new king before it’s too late.

Its just a question of time when ethereum will overtake bitcoin. Its simple, because bitcoin is "just" a cryptocurrnecy, while Ethereum is a blockchain plattform where you can do a lot of stuff, even more then justtokens. You see in the past months its even possible to make games on the ethereum blockchain like kryptokitties. So if the devs are starting to use the full potential of ethereum blockchain, it will easily go much higher then nowadays.

There can only be a single king in the market and currently that is bitcoin, It is right to say that for last two years less or more people are converting their assets into Etheirum, but still I think that bitcoin has more potential to remain as the kind of crypto world for a long long time. It is expected that very soon we will see a good move in bitcoin price. |

I don't think we should crown Ethereum as King. So far Ethereum is performing well. But Bitcoin has been under attack for long and this is taking the heat off Ethereum.

I can only agree that the ETH will be the new King after the ETH exceeds the BTC price which for now is still far ahead,
The price difference between the two currencies so far, so Ethereum took a long time to reach the level of Bitcoin.
