There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

That's very nice but there is a problem with this. Italy is not exactly the kind of place where one can safely trade 200 BTC. For one, it is Europe's currency counterfeiting capital:

etc etc.

Now as it stands today, 200 BTC = just a little under 2 mil $. That's a lot of coins to lose.

You mentioned "we". Meeting up with a group of people should be done with utmost caution. Anything can happen.
