Could there be any reason to sell a product cheaper in lite coin than Bitcoin? I could see how Monero with its privacy might be more valued. What is the advantage of litecoin though? After all you can swap most of these cryptos around right?

Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

as a merchant when selling something you should consider what your users want. do your customers own cryptocurrencies? do they own litecoin or bitcoin or monero or ...? are they willing to spend it on your product or are they just holding it?

adding a LTC payment system may cost you more (like wasting server resources,...) than the number of people who might buy your product using it.
