Just wondering is it possible for Forum Admins to set bounty requirements. Currently, bounty campaigns forums are really overcrowded.

Here are my suggestions to improve bounty forum/s.

1- Bounty thread (1st post) must mention bounty start and end date.
2- Clearly mention payment date (or time period) after bounty end date.
3- Posting reports should be in a single post by bounty hunters, just edit that single post for weekly reports. No need to spam bounty thread.
4- Bounty thread (1st post) must mention weekly report submission DAY.
5- After bounty end stop hunters from posting reports.

Currently, bounty campaigns forums are really overcrowded.
You mean campaign threads, right?

Just wondering is it possible for Forum Admins to set bounty requirements.~Snipped~

Here are my suggestions to improve bounty forum/s.
Based on your suggestions, these are the things that should be pointed towards bounty managers, not "Forum Admins".

1- Bounty thread (1st post) must mention bounty start and end date.
2- Clearly mention payment date (or time period) after bounty end date.
4- Bounty thread (1st post) must mention weekly report submission DAY.
AFAIK, all of these are always included but the main issues are participants that don't bother to read everything.

3- Posting reports should be in a single post by bounty hunters, just edit that single post for weekly reports. No need to spam bounty thread.
Bounty managers should enforce this (in which some don't).

5- After bounty end stop hunters from posting reports.
Clicking the "lock topic" button is the solution.

Currently, bounty campaigns forums are really overcrowded.
You mean campaign threads, right?

right. But bounty thread is on the same server.

Just wondering is it possible for Forum Admins to set bounty requirements.~Snipped~

Here are my suggestions to improve bounty forum/s.
Based on your suggestions, these are the things that should be pointed towards bounty managers, not "Forum Admins".

Forum admins can give clear guidelines that will all be adhered to

1- Bounty thread (1st post) must mention bounty start and end date.
2- Clearly mention payment date (or time period) after bounty end date.
4- Bounty thread (1st post) must mention weekly report submission DAY.
AFAIK, all of these are always included but the main issues are participants that don't bother to read everything.

disqualification from the campaign will quickly learn people to read all rules

3- Posting reports should be in a single post by bounty hunters, just edit that single post for weekly reports. No need to spam bounty thread.
Bounty managers should enforce this (in which some don't).

This would greatly improve the problem.
Yahoo manager has great solution for this problem, they post every week google form for submitting links, his bounty threads can be more readable and useful.

5- After bounty end stop hunters from posting reports.
Clicking the "lock topic" button is the solution.

You can't "lock topic" before payment is made. Many people can have a variety of problems and have to communicate with the manager. Wrong address, counting stake etc.. mistakes happen

Hey SFR10,

Thanks for your replies.

Currently, bounty campaigns forums are really overcrowded.
You mean campaign threads, right?
Yes campaign threads in bounties section.

Just wondering is it possible for Forum Admins to set bounty requirements.~Snipped~

Here are my suggestions to improve bounty forum/s.
Based on your suggestions, these are the things that should be pointed towards bounty managers, not "Forum Admins".
Can't we have them as rules. What if they do not follow them? should we have some kind of penalties?

1- Bounty thread (1st post) must mention bounty start and end date.
2- Clearly mention payment date (or time period) after bounty end date.
4- Bounty thread (1st post) must mention weekly report submission DAY.
AFAIK, all of these are always included but the main issues are participants that don't bother to read everything.
Sorry but it is not the case, there are bounty threads with start date but no end date. e.g: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2767815.0

3- Posting reports should be in a single post by bounty hunters, just edit that single post for weekly reports. No need to spam bounty thread.
Bounty managers should enforce this (in which some don't).
Yeah, but once we have the rules, I think everyone follows them.

5- After bounty end stop hunters from posting reports.
Clicking the "lock topic" button is the solution.

I think then hunters can't ask the questions, better if they just cut the spam member bounty so that next he/she will be careful.

can we use report to moderator for all those reports posts which are still coming after so many warnings?

I use to disqualify all those who keep reporting after bounty end announcement.

A lot of this is relavent to bounty managers rather than staff members but:
Quote
3- Posting reports should be in a single post by bounty hunters, just edit that single post for weekly reports. No need to spam bounty thread.
Instead of this, it should be a rule that any bounty reports should be made off site. This will make it easier to identify and report the posts when they do post their reports on site. I'm not a big fan of moving off site normally, but it's needed in the bounty section.

can we use report to moderator for all those reports posts which are still coming after so many warnings?

I use to disqualify all those who keep reporting after bounty end announcement.
If it's ended and they proceed to spam the thread with reports anyway, then sure report the posts.

They can but they won't (except for these).

You can't "lock topic" before payment is made. Many people can have a variety of problems and have to communicate with the manager. Wrong address, counting stake etc.. mistakes happen
Payments are sent prior to the topic being locked (not the other way around). For possible issues, they should follow the ending announcement and just send a PM to the campaign manager.

Can't we have them as rules. What if they do not follow them? should we have some kind of penalties?
Aside from #3 on your list, I highly doubt for other suggestions to be considered as forum rules (IMO). Until something isn't part of the rules, penalties can't be given.

I think then hunters can't ask the questions, better if they just cut the spam member bounty so that next he/she will be careful.
They can simply send a PM to the manager.

I have already suggested easy solution and I think the idea is good and it will reduce a great deal of spam and save a lot of time to the user and managers here.
Here is the link to my post:

Let me know what you think Smiley

Really good suggestions, 1 & 3 are most important for me.
Some bounties manager waste lot of bounty hunters time by not providing clear information regarding bounty End date, 2 days ago I wasted about 10 minutes to find end date of ICO but failed then I left It.

I think it is a good idea, especially on point 1 and 2 because able to tell hunters bounty to start report and stop report, to point of 3 also very helpful insight bounty manager to ease checking report.

Is there any formal way to propose these suggestions to Forum Admins.

you should suggest these to bounty managers.. forum admins have nothing to do with this.

Thanks Jamal,
But how we can suggest to all bounty managers, as not all bounty managers are providing the required information when starting the bounty thread. Better if we have some kind of rules for bounty managers to follow.
