Even in the event that an attacker gains more than 50% of the network's computational power, only transactions sent by the attacker could be reversed or double-spent. The network would not be destroyed.

Bitcoin trend now is quite giving fear to any holder but we should not panic on this situation because bitcoin will rise again after its price downfall. Imagine millions of people will buy bitcoin today because its price is slightly affordable as it goes down, therefore the more demand will limit the supply of bitcoin and this will cause to rise up again its value, so hold on and don't panic bitcoin will rebounce soon.

Don't look at the price went it gets this low. Come back in a year or so then plan on selling the coins.

you are only 50% correct, the second part is right.

holding something that you believe will appreciate over time (in long term) doesn't make you an idiot. and many are doing this because they do not trust exchanges to start trading bitcoin there and other means of selling are not good enough.
holding something that is useless and has an illusion instead of future (ie altcoins) makes you an idiot though.

Hmmm. as long as bitcoin has unit bias (is that the phrase?), Mr. and Mrs. John Q. Public in Peoria living on the corner of Elm and Pleasant St are going to have a tough time investing their hard earned $2000 in 0.24 of anything. So basically it's big money vs. big money in the center of the ring, currently slaughtering the bull. I am not advocating changing bitcoin to mils or bits, just saying that at these prices, it doesn't feel like a true "market" where everyone can participate - even if everyone can technically participate. Most of us are just sitting watching the whales, sharks and speculators doing their thing. I would imagine that makes the possibility of very sharp turnarounds more likely than a true market where everyone can (more realistically) participate?

You should advise is do not take hold! Sell and stop losses, Buy at cheap rates to earn bigger when it will bounce back up again. That way you can quickly recover all losses and it is possible to earn double or triple in your investment! When I hold you like you just wasted the chance that you will earn more in the fall of bitcoins.

Well if some people don't want to hodl, we can't do anything about this anymore. There are people who will always sell whenever they feel that there will be a huge drop in price or bad news comes out. But we cannot deny the truth that it is smart move to get out of the market as soon as possible and just re-invest when it drops to its lowest point and there is nothing wrong with that if you want to make profit and that's a normal thing on any investment. We are sure that it will recover soon so there is nothing to worry about the crash. The only problem is we don't know when.
Haha only idiots hold , smart people sell during peaks
Totally wrong, true long term hodlers/investors don't look at the price and don't even care if the price crashes in just short period of time. But I have to agree that smart people sell during peaks and to avoid the price corrections.

Smart peoples buy at low and sell at top. If someone got at price more than current, so he should hold until price high. Don't be a panic seller.

I was expecting anyway that the price will still go lower in these moments but I am still holding my bitcoin and don't plan to sell it. I will just let it be because I know its price will go higher again. It is good to sell to prevent anymore losses, but may be too bad if suddenly the price goes up just after they sell their bitcoins.

I agree, first not all people who invest on bitcoins/market does not have time to check the prices or trade everyday. As an example warren buffet is holder he hold stocks for long term, he is just a billionaire do you think his strategy is stupid.
If you know that you bought has great potential price correction will not matter because in the long run their value will go up.
