What would happen if mtgox were to call for a bail out from it's depositors? How likely would that happen and what would be the resulting consequences?
Not much, I think, the zealots will blame the FEDs and Mark.K will get a get out of jail free card by the community.

Mtgox is after all - too big to fail!

The customers will be unprioritized creditors, both on bitcoin and fiat side.

Somebody explain to me how a company that took it a million dollars a day profit daily would need a bailout.

But back on topic, why the hell would a company as big as Gox not have contingencies for situations like the ones they have been facing. Just my thoughts.

They would request it and I'd get back to them in two weeks

good judgment comes from experience, and experience comes from bad judgment
