@jacklezz you added new the ticker symbol for BTC2- BCT?

That is just a backup symbol in case some future exchange or service doesn't support numbers in the ticker. But right now BTC2 is the only used ticker. Did you see BCT elsewhere than our website?

No, only seen on your website, but I was reminded of a similar reduction like Bitcoin Cash (BCH). BCT I like more than BTC2.

question about running a masternode -
I've been following the tutorial , and it appears that I need to computers for that - one that is constantly running (VPS) and a laptop.  So, question: does the laptop has to be always online as well?
Or I can switch it off after I did the "start MISSING" (masternodes) on it?

Yes you can switch your laptop off. Only the masternode (for example VPS) has to be constantly running.

how do I check the orphan rate of a master node? (running just bitcoin2d )

I've got my masternode running but I think I get too few rewards. I'm getting about 2 per hour, whereas with the current number of masternodes (15) I should be getting about 4 per hour.  May I be getting that many orphans? THe node is running on amazon AWS so should be well connected. The number of connections is over 30.

Orphans are created by staking and would not affect Masternode rewards because even if a block with your Masternode reward gets orphaned, the substituting block would still have to include your reward. You would see the orphans on your laptop in red color.
Less than 60 blocks are created averagely per hour.. Perhaps more like 55 - 59.

Masternodes get rewarded in a queue-like system. Usually two rewards consecutively. So you get the rewards from two blocks at at time (0.2 BTC2 each), perhaps that confused you?

You can monitor the queue by typing getmasternodewinners to the debug console. If you still think it's not going right, tell us your Masternode 's public address here or by PM and we will investigate further.

Make sure not to "start" the masternode once it is enabled already as that would make it be ineligible to be rewarded for over 45 minutes.

Can you give me nodes to add and boost up the synchronisation pace of my wallet?
highly appreciate your help with active nodes.

The first 1400 or so blocks are big because they replicate the Bitcoin balances of February. After that the sync speed becomes much faster.
You can find some of the nodes at: https://www.whatsmydns.net/#A/seed.bitc2.org
But I don't think it would help with the speed.

what's up with swift txs ?  Sent one just to try it out, it did arrive, but took much longer than a normal one.
It missed, like, 10 blocks or so. I left the default fee of 0.0001 which is a lot higer than the default fee for normal txs

The Swift TX feature actually requires 0.01 BTC2 fee right now, and if you use a fee lower than that with the Swift TX checkbox checked, it will be like trying to send a Bitcoin transaction with a 100 satoshi fee. This is not labeled clearly and the wallet does not warn when you try to use a too low fee with Swift TX.

In our Github we recently changed the Swift TX feature's fee to 0.00050000 BTC2 and addressed this issue. That change will be released in the next version.

Anyway, a Swift TX won't show as received in the block explorer any faster than a normal transaction because the block explorer is for exploring blocks.
It would show in the recipient's Bitcoin 2 Core wallet or a merchant's wallet faster than a normal transaction however.

Announcement: All of the Bitcoin 2 Core versions are NOT affected by the critical duplicate inputs bug in Bitcoin Core versions 0.14 - 0.16.2 that was fixed in Bitcoin Core v.0.16.3.

Jackleszz my wallet has been synchronized for more than 8 hours, is this normal?

Do you mean that it is taking a long time to synchronize? If so, it would be normal with slow internet. If you are making progress, just leave it on.

Another thing we are working on is a way to buy BTC2 directly with cash and convert it back to cash instead of requiring Bitcoins first. This is considered for the upcoming in-wallet decentralized exchange. We are considering to have an interface to it on our website along with the web wallet so that you wouldn't even need to run the Bitcoin 2 Core software to use the decentralized exchange.

The project continues to be interesting and it's excellent for those who hold. But it is very bad that there is only one real exchange(crex) where there are almost no volume. It's also very important to get into the ratings of the coinmarketcap.com site without a website, it's difficult to work with normal projects today. And then there is where to see how much everyone currently has tokens in their hands? The project is in my bookmarks but I would like more details.

Exchange for fiat is very good, but you are an anonymous team and you will not be easy to gain trust. I think it will be of great interest if you can realize the exchange for bitcoin and make it anonymous.
