After thorough research, I came to the following information:
TurtleCoin (TRTL) mining began on December 9, 2017.
The first public mining announcement began on January 14, 2018.
Between the two dates, 100,000 blocks or 3,000,000,000 TurtleCoin were minted.
That makes 0.3% of Total Supply or 4.25 of Circulating Supply.

In his latest announcement (22.4.2020.) turtlecoin lead Dev claims that with Karai update he can make 10 000 transfers per second (VISA does 2000 transfers per second). Can this be true?

Target was 10K TPS. Tryout is 1M TPS, but it's a local loop, it would be slower on a network due to several latencies. https://blog.turtlecoin.lol/archives/this-week-in-turtlecoin-april-22-2020/"Initially when I wrote the benchmark, it was fairly unoptimized, and the way I was creating the transactions and timing the execution of them was a little computationally wasteful, so my first benchmark indicated I was doing 10,000 transactions in a little over 2 seconds. It was disappointing but also inspiring to have a goal to aspire to. It didn’t take long, but with the suggestions of IBMCD and Z, we were able to make some significant improvements in a single night. We’ll just come out and say it. We hit 1 million (1,000,000) transactions created, processed and recorded to HDD in under 1 second. This was with a single threaded benchmark using a Ryzen 1800. As a disclaimer, It’s important to note that in this benchmark we’re not sending any of these transactions over the network, they’re all transactions being created from and processed on the channel coordinator and saved to spinning disk. It’s likely that when we introduce network latency we will incur some slowdown to this number. That being said, these are impressive numbers. Let’s talk about how we derive those numbers." |

I have been waiting for this moment more than two years. my opinion that what happened to Monero will soon happen to turtle coin And it will also start to be accepted in the darknet ... then it will be very interesting to see its price skyrocket BTCBecause the turtle coin is more anonymous than Monero Cut and keep my word  By the way, perfect timing to release the update, well done to the developers and the whole team !! |

Couldn't agree more! Have been mining TRTL since Dec 2018/Jan 2019 just for fun and as I don't have had any good hardware. Love the project! The devs are incredible, as is the community! Can't wait to see what will happen when V2 is out. |
