Ok thanks. I knew I was missing something, it seemed a bit too simple.  Smiley

One thing I did notice in BIP32 though

Ki = (IL + Kpar)*G = IL*G + Kpar

Shoukdn't that read (IL+ kpar)*G

Good catch!  Looks like a typo to me.  I'd edit it, but I'm not sure about the rules on editing BIPs on the wiki.
