Honestly, I doubt that doge can reach 500 sat in 2020. It is a funny coin which was created for no purpose at all. It can only slowly increase its price
Or people will realize that it offers nothing unique among all the other altcoins and it will eventually die out or serve the small niche tipping market it currently serves and maintain a more realistically low price. |

I would diversify/divest out at this market cap and go into coins like Bitbay, VIA, Blackcoin, and Pascal. All low market cap. All trade on major exchanges. All have active development, and interesting features.

Well none of us would have made big money in crypto if we didn't at least have some foresight but I get what you are saying, there are too many unknown variables especially to think so many years ahead. |

Doge is that coin with zero features that just won't die. Either the joke will persist and it will always be worth a lot like now or people will give it a rest and let it go down close to zero.

Most of this interest are based on speculation. Reason is simple if bitcoin goes up with price then all alts should follow it in price this would be appropriate for all alts cuz this will make price increase for them, i mean on all of them. |

Question:
Could the developers ever lower the "infinite" amount of Dogecoin? Can that ever be changed? If they ever set some kind of reasonable limit, you know Doge would take off for at least $1.00 very quickly.

You have the unlimited supply to blame for that. The only thing saving it is the Litecoin merge mine. If it wasn't for that they would be 51% attacked and taken over.
Why would the dev team make it so the coin have an unlimited supply. Did they not know this would greatly affect the price of the coin? Thanks for the feedback INRI666. because they made dogecoin as a joke and for fun. it is not meant to make money or appreciate in value thus unlimited supply FOREVER! i wouldnt waste time on this coin if you are interested in making money. the real opportunities are in other altcoins with great team and innovative ideas. there are so many shitcoins that will die off eventually. dogecoin is still alive bc of its sentimental values. the mere fact that so many ppl own hundreds of millions even billions of doge will deter it from price increase. it will always be the pump and dump coin that will never go beyond one cent. if it does it ill go right back down bc billion coin owners will sell right away. then we go back to square one and repeat the same thing over and over bc of its unlimited supply. |

Hello there, I am new on this forum and found it bc I was searching for info on dogecoins. I am totally newb on the financial domain & cryptocurrencies, but somenoe told me to go on MLM mining thing... I heared the MLM miining is not good...but since then an idea has stuck in my mind... to obtain dogecoins... I read you talk about faucets...what is that? I really have the feeling dogecoin is going to go up... I dont know if is only a false idea of my mind...but I am happy I foudn you guys on this forum so I can learn few things about it.. I have been collecting Dogecoin for more than a year and I am a very big fan of Dogecoin. I firmly believe it is a very undervalued coin. For the past six months, the price of a lot of cryptocurrencies have been increasing so have dogecoin. I think Dogecoin price would be around $1 at the end of 2018 and it would be worth several dollars in 2020.

it's sad to say but the Dogecoin is a creation of the young crypto market and, yeah it's fine for a small transactions and speculations, but i doubt that coin will survive at the year of 2020.

I think it will always have its place in the crypto market. Even though there is no more development in dogecoin, there is still a big fan base who continues to support the coin. It has some nice characteristics (fast transactions, very low fees), which is useful for the online gambling industry. |

I have 1.200.000 coins bought half of them in 2015 and paid 100 $
My whole doge portfolio on jan 7 was worth 25.000$.... I didnt sell like you didnt sell your btc...yet
This has potentials to go much much higher, ups and downs like any other cryptos, community on reddit has 110.000 subscribers
January marketcap was 2 billion dollars. Call it a joke
About the coin being inflationary can be a mistake and there may be changes on the way
