I tried to find ANN poloniex in this forum, usually they respond to complaints quickly.

try to post here hopefully your complaint is responded, and immediately resolved.

I have seen Poloniex more than any other exchange have exactly these kinds of issues. I am not launching any accusations, but it seems, (at least anecdotally) that this is a very regular occurence with this exchange. I have seen high ranking members having similar troubles; if I am not mistaken (please, correct me if I am), BAC has had similar issues, but once support gets involved this gets remedied. I have not seen anything like this go completely unanswered or unfixed.

They have been having a lot of issues recently with withdrawals and deposits alike, which I imagine has filled up their support queue and backlog quite nicely.

Many users are complaining about their deposits going without credit into their account.
https://twitter.com/Poloniex/status/961102960011997186
They say everything is working normally on this status, but there are many users freaking out if you read the comments. The one fellow mentions that it took 6-months for him to get a response from their support, but then the problem was fixed.

If this is a systematic issue, I wouldn't be surprised if they did this purposefully to offset their own investments/trades or potential exit-scam. This kind of thing is normally a prerequisite to an exchange going AWOL, experiencing a "hack". I've just seen it happen too many times before, but hopefully they are different and do not disappear for one reason or another. It seems like you just must be patient, and I would suggest again bumping your support tickets at all, but especially with things like "I'm waiting!" as this normally resets your ticket's position in the support queue. The best advice, would just be patient and if you can try to contact them on social media as that has worked for a couple people.

Also, if I could make a suggestion, try to (if you can) move your coins into your personal wallet from the exchange before moving it to another exchange; there is sometimes weird things that occur when you do exchange>exchange withdrawals>deposit; not sure if this is intentional, maybe to thwart arbitrage, a fluke in the programming, but normally you are better off going Exchange > Personal Wallet > Exchange if you must do so at all. Exchanges inherently come with these problems all the time, there are so many ghost stories around the forum of exchanges stealing this and that, not crediting this or confirming that; I would also advise against using exchange in any capacity you can.

Agreed. It's always good to move your coins to your personal wallet first. That's where you get the most control in terms of sending funds. Also sometimes exchanges demand you to send your transaction with a payment ID which you need to include. Otherwise, you are not going to get the funds delivered to your account.

Also if something like this happens, you can easily sign a message from a personal wallet instead of an exchange wallet, which you have to deal with 2 sides.

Any chance that you sent to a bitcoin wallet, which is why the USDT didn't get credited? If you are sure that you did send to the USDT wallet, and it still hasn't arrived. All I can give you is good luck. You just have to wait for their ticketing system to respond to you.

Magneto made me remember a pretty good stance that I've taken awhile back and just recently became the case. I will not work with an exchange that forces me to use Tether (or any other currency) if I want to fund my account. I do not believe in Tether, it feels like an extortion attempt or a desperate way to start a coin. I have heard many horror stories about Tether,  from people sending it to addresses that can't accept it, or exchanges not processing it as quickly.

Regardless, my advice would be stay away from Tether, because if you were to fund with USD at least you would have some type of recourse. This leaves you 100% at the mercy of exchanges; Tether as far as I can tell is just a currency made for and by exchanges. Do not fall victim to their predatory manipulation of the market, refuse to abide by their silly rules and go elsewhere.

Guys, the problem isn't in tether. The problem is POLONIEX.
My transaction was confirmed in a few minute, but poloniex still does not credit me and in two months still does not deign to answer me.
THIS IS SCANDALOUS!

Well, that problem isn't really tether's. I agree that tether is very shady and I would not use it to store any big sums of fiat wealth, but that's not really the problem here. The problem's on poloniex's side.

You still haven't answered my question - did you or did you not accidentally deposit to a bitcoin address? Tether deposit addresses on poloniex are going to be different from bitcoin deposit addresses, if you have not realised.

Guys, please help me..

There is nothing we can do to help, unfortuntaely. You have to wait for a response from the support team on poloniex which is extremely slow at responding. That's a well known fact. You'll have to depend on them, since you can't double spend your transaction after it's confirmed.

No, i deposited on the right address

No idea why else they would not even show it as a pending transaction then, even though it's got full confirmations.

This is indeed unacceptable. But poloniex is known for these types of complaints.

Hopefully with Circle buying poloniex things will finally take a turn for the better. Before they actually move new staff and make new changes you'll just have to wait for support to respond, and if they don't, there is absolutely nothing we can do to help you here. It's an internal issue that they have to solve, we don't have the rights to make changes to your balance as outsiders.

Do update us on the status of this, though.

I think Poloniex has a failing business model, because if I remember correctly there was a lot of financial problems behind the scenes with that company. They were routinely freezing large deposits in order to offset their withdrawals and losses from their sketchy lending programs. I might be mistaking them for another company, but as far as I can tell this seems to be a part of their business model and not an earnest mistake.

For future reference I wouldn't work with these people, and I would do all sorts of research on the complaints leveled at whichever exchange or service you plan on using. In this case there is a lot of credibility to the complaints I've seen about Poloniex.

Also, I know this isn't something you want to hear right now, but for the sake of cleanliness in your thread it is proper practice to delete your old bumps, so you're not double-posting the same thing over and over again.

I wouldn't say you are out of luck or that your money is lost, it genuinely seems that it just takes this long for them to loop around to support tickets.
