For short term profit I would suggest go with ETH, LTC and EOS.

These coins does have a big volume everyday so you won't problem if there's no buy orders like those unpopular coins that has a big edge but only few people are buying.

Even though the size of the initial investment should not be a barrier, 1.000 euro are not so much to invest in 2018. It was certainly a good amount in 2016 or in early 2017, but now you should have a very stroke of luck by choosing the coin that will make 50x or 100x to make some good profit.

Anyway, this could be a good entry point after a massive correction in January and February.

If you want to stay quite cautious 30% on BTC, 30% on ETH and 40% in 2-3 altcoins could be the right thing to do. Don't buy a coin because someone shill it to you, do your own research before.
