Because most people don't know when they can go up, prices will not be lost if they go up. If you sell coins, then there will be losses.

People are suggesting that we should keep holding pending when its value appreciate because when you sell at the current market value you will end up selling at lost particularly when you bought your Bitcoin when its value was so high as compared to the value. At the same time, holding is one of the factor that can help stabilise the market from further decline.

Because in long term, chances of loss is very much low as compare to short term, so that's why most of the people prefer long term holding.

Hi all,
I have a really simple question or so seems to me cause i am a crypto noob.
I really do not understand why almost everybody suggest to hold when there is a dip or correction.

With my simple noob logic i think that when there is a dip someone could sell at the start of the dip or do something else (e.g. buy tether y i know the rumors or something similar anyway) and then buy again later when the correction has stop or decrease.

Obviously no one knows when there is a many days dip and when it will end in order to buy but even so one can save much money just for sell and buy in between even without predict the absolute start and end of a dip.

I hold as everyone suggests but i now realise that if i had sell even a couple days before even yesterday-and not right after the start of the dip and buy lets say now i would have save a bunch of money relatively with what i am doing now which is hold.

I really must be missing something since i am crypto noob orelse i cannot explain why everyone suggest hold while i fear that real pros are doing the oppossite.

I would like to ask only experienced people who know what they are talking about to give their opinions cause i am fed up reading pseudo crypto pros everywhere around. I bet many of you understand what i mean. Everybody has become a crypto pro . Well i am a crypto noob and i need your heads up.

Thank you for your time reading this and excuse my lame English.

Regards.

Because the value are falling into the market and selling all of your coins are just not gonna help that coins to rise back up again so it is much better to hold for a long period of time and have a lot of patience because i am sure that a lot of people will invest again in that coins so the tendency is all the coins are gonna rise back up again and that is the right time to sell those coins that you are holding into your wallet for a long run. So better hold to for more profits

Hold during a bull market. If you sell, you might lose your position where you may never regain again. Like Bitcoin at $1000 in the beginning of 2017. Now, in a bear market if your able to sell early, you may be able to let the market correct far enough so you can pick a new position at a much cheaper price. If you try to sell too late at near bottom prices, then you might also lose your opportunity so it's better to Hodl. It all comes with experience so practice now.
First of all, HOLD is the most simple and easy way and yet the most effective way at the same time. Why ? That is because holding does not need a lot of effort and I think everyone can do that. Besides, in the other hand, HOLDing is very good and the most suitable thing for newbie or beginners to this world of crypto. Trading really needs a lot of effort because we need to monitor the price all the time and we can have so much risk on that. You can lose and win for like anytime, unlike holding. That is because holding only need the final result and the true holder will not sell no matter what until they get profit.
The holder is easy to become a gambler if you place blind faith in a wrong decision. I was a holder, I lost a lot of money when I put my trust in DGB when I bought it at 2000 satoshi for each. Ok, do not talk about the past. Just in the past four months, the price of ETH has changed unexpectedly, from the highest price of $ 1400, it fell to the $ 300 price again. If you do not put too much faith in the market, you can continue to buy ETH with 4 times cheaper in a short time.

Investing crypto's are normal thing when fluctuates up and down, better hold and patiently wait until the time recovers. The history itself proves that bitcoins are potential asset to invest recalling back the time when its started until this present. See the difference..

In general I would agree, if you're an long term believer and therefore be more sort of an investor and not a trader.
But from a trading perspective this does not always makes much sense. Sure it's hard to time the market and therefore sell at the top and buy at the bottom.
But you can partially sell on the way up, especially if you see the chart going parabolic and making huge blow off candles, which often, not always, can be interpreted as a signal of a coming downtrend.
The same applies to the other direction. You see big long red judas candles happening, it could be wise to partially buy in as the price may bounce and reverse.
This in combination with a few indicators and lagging oscillators can make you help to be right and increase your trading account, either in BTC or in fiat.
However this needs experience and dedication as being a good traders needs time and dedication, or a lot of talent to catch on quick.

When the market starts to decline I don't recommend holding. I have my strategy to reduce the risk. When I wait for the market to rise, I buy Bitcoin. I feel that the safest operation can minimize the risk.

In additonal to it Altcoins area unit nice approach to carry coins. Tasks area unit extremely nice as regular even deadcoin is rising likewise. thus fully ne'er lament within the event that you just holding some coins that has no esteem before long it'll rise additional. In cryptologic cash everything is in an exceedingly win circumstance thus higher hold one among your valuable coin or additional thereon.

Right now, if you sell your coins, you may not really make any profits. The market is very dynamic and unpredictable right now.

Its time to hold.

well probably the situation of our current market is down so it is better to hold your coins rather than selling it when that coin's value is low. you might not satisfied on its price and you might regret it at the past

If you will hold what your coins are, it doesn't mean that it will make us gain a profit. It is just a strategy. Doing this strategy can be regarded as a way to get a profit opportunity. But for me to do trade and also hold a balanced action can make us get more opportunities. Being activeness is to be our determinant to be able to get profit or not but moreover it is time to hold when the value is at low price and start to have a patience which is needed the most in order to gain profit in the future.

Exchanging is the most essential things for each crypto dealer. In the event that the coin showcase goes to red I mean all coin when down, at that point we get some altcoin and hold least, 3 or 4 months Because we trust that, altcoin moon soon. All things considered its actual, Everyone let you know and propose holding your altcoin, on the grounds that we can see that, speculator increment bit by bit and they can purchase altcoin, Because of the crypto showcase top change and with this estimation of altcoin raise. along these lines, in the event that you hold your altcoin in 5 or 6 moths I trust you can beyond any doubt gigantic benefit from that  Roll Eyes

I suggest in my opinion that people suggest others to hold so as to avoid dumping and maintain price higher, the more people hold the less price decrease, demand increases price and more supply which is selling would cause massive price movement down

Yes it good time to hold and everyone is watching the down trend of bitcoin and other altcoins and that is why everybody is suggesting to hold because it is very better option to invest or holding instead of panic selling,

I think most people who have suggested that the best option to manage our crypto assets is "hold", are people without basic skills or knowledge to succeed in trading. It is true that initially the best option was to hold when the price of bitcoin was cheaper and had no choice but to grow, but under the current conditions of a more complex and mature market, to hold does not seem the wisest option anymore.

Yes its true almost every one suggesting keeping hold because It is the time of down trend in the bitcoin market and it impact to all other cryptocurrencies due to unpredicted price of bitcoin almost all altcoin are at the down rate so this is the time of keep waiting and holding be patiently instead of panic sale and I have set a plan to aware of panic sale and keep hold until the market shows the good position and that is why the best option to hold instead of trade because all trades are showing loss, So better is to hold instead of sale or trade,

There're many ways to deal with this problem, as you continue to wait will give you a lot of risk in the investment. Try to think if the value of the crypto that you have invested continues to decrease, do you have the courage to keep it and accept a worthless investment in the future? Instead, look carefully at everything. Think of other alternatives that can help you make the same amount of money you spent on crypto, it's better than just waiting for a miracle.

What you are missing is that no one knows how the market will react short term. But holding is a superior strategy because we all know that quality projects will only go up in the future.

This is why trading is hard and only few people succeed in it meanwhile holding in the longterm is easy and safe and works almost always better if you do your research and invest in quality projects ofcource.
