I've been searching for ICOs for a few days and there seems to be many cases of scams and hacks which kinda scares me. Obviously, there is no 100% certainty which is going to be a successful one but is there any way to identify which ones are at least going in the right direction? I looked at Mossland, Neocoin Whitepaper and they seem ok. Or should I just buy BTC or ETH? Suggestions and ideas would be very helpful!

When the market were red that was a best time to buy BTC and ETH, still a good time now but it will be finished soon with a rising prices.
And to tell u the truth it's always a risk when investing in ICO, even witht the most trustworthy one.

It's a usual timing to invest. From the latest ones - Republic protocol, Arcblock - they had crazy hype, hard caps were reached in minutes. GBX's sale is upcoming as well and it will be very difficult to fit in as well I think.

You can take a look at https://crushcrypto.com/
All ICOs which they review are all good, high hype. Flip or hold for long term, both are OK. Most of ICOs reviewed are not easy to buy, some of them even reached hard cap in presale and stop public sale.

Probably yes.
Now a lot of money left the markets. And many ICOs can not collect the cap to develop their projects. After bying at ICO, you should be prepared to wait a many time until the project and its token rise.
ICO's that has had a successful Pre-ICO with a filled hardcap, would be a great place to invest then?

I think Yes, this is the right time to invest on the market.Because crypto currencies price has been drastically in January. So the market is not so good now.It is the best opportunity for investors to invest and earn good profits. We know after couple of months bitcoin price will be huge like before so now we can buy crypto in cheap rate and in future we can sell it at high price. So this is why it's the exact time to invest on crypto market.

I'd say ICOs are always the best choice if you analyse them carefully. Most investors are just following what others do without any efforts. It leads them to scams and they blame legit ICOs as well.
Then are there any ICOs you think are "legit" at this current situation?

Yes, I am very cautious, so have not found many, but Mossland seems stronger than any other ICOs in recent days.

Nowadays are best time for invest in any places of crypo currencies. I think that we skip that price collapse and also i wish that this collepse is the last one for the 100k.
For the ICO's prices are down according to BTC and ETH price. But should be careful for scams.

I think ICOs are attracting. It's difficult to find good one though. But I think it's worth to find a good one among various ICOs because it's investing in future Grin

I think now is a good time to buy ICO, because as BTC prices fell, so the cost of the investment ICO become low, you only need to choose a good ICO project, so when the bull market comes, there will be a very good income.

SCAMS will be there because we are lazy to dig up what kind of project these ICOs are promising  but am not saying all projects will scam you, some already have a product and are using tokensales to expand their operations.

To avoid any bad projects let us do our research before investing our hard earned money simple as that, if you still unsure just buy either BTC or ETH or even both.

As prices for BTC and ETH fell sharply, many investors began to panic.
I think it is the best time to invest in ICO, because there are fewer people involved in ICO, you can choose some excellent ICO projects to participate in, I recommend you to know the cardstack.
Even some of the more disappointing ICO's can still double your money in a short period of time (less than a month). There aren't many financial instruments that can give you those returns.

I think it is best not to participate in this period of ICO, because of the impact of bitcoin, ICO now after the end of the platform price is very easy to too low, it will lead to everyone's loss, I think it is best to hold some of you Optimistic about the coins until the bitcoin's pick up.
Wouldn't it be worse for me to invest in ICO when BTC price goes up rather than now? So complicated..

We all know that ico is the best way to invest your crypto but i think its not the time to invest your coins or tokens in ico because based on my research some cryptos are decreasing like bitcoin so we betrer wait for it to increase again

I think you can invest in now because the prices are low so you will make more money in next bull market. And the white paper, and the tember are very importent things that you need to consider before you make any investment.

If you find a good ico which you truly believe, yes it is a good time to invest in them. Because the coins are all cheap now. So you can invest very cheap in good ICOs and get more tokens/coins for less amount of money. I invest in some ICO in this time, and i dont regret it. Just watch to invest with bitcoin or Ethereum in the ICO and not with creditcard or fiat money. I invested one ethereum in Valid.Global. The presale sold out, on 24. Febraury the crowdsale will start. Its very hyped ico, so if you are interested, be fast!

ICOs are a new way of funding startups by issuing digital tokens that can be traded online. The tokens are inspired by, and structured like, earlier cryptocurrencies Bitcoin and Ethereum.

I can say yes. For ICOs every time is good to invest. The only thing is to catch up  the good ICO, it is the most important thing.
