Any Idea what this "http://www.zerohedge.com/contributed/2014-03-05/its-protocol-stupid-observe-true-value-bitcoin-programmable-money-emerges" is? And if NEOBEE Stocks could be traded on a similar system/way.

Cheers,
SK
Isn't Protoshares/Bitshares/Mastercoin/Nxt etc doing something similar?
The idea sounds grate! I hope it catches up, my question was if there is a way to transfer say Havelock stocks into a system like them.

Yeah, Mastercoin will be the first to release a decentralized exchange. It will allow other coins, stocks and such to be traded there. http://www.cryptocoinsnews.com/2014/01/31/mastercoin-is-launching-a-distributed-exchange-on-march-15/

We could see Neo trading there in decentralized fashion.
+1 to mastercoin team then,
Really looking forward for something like this Smiley!

The chairman of the stock exchange said they lack knowledge of bitcoin and will welcome any help from Neo and the university.

Source?

Nope far from it. Mastercoin had this in trial testing for months now, allowing people to test it out even before Counterparty launched. In March the public released will be made available in user friendly format.

My own ears.

I was there, I attended the conference at the university Smiley

Check the presentation of the University's CFO here

http://www.paideia-news.com/content/files/62452025.pdf

Especially page 13 where he talks about the proposal of the University that has been made to the Cyprus Government to make Cyprus the center of the bitcoin world! A real visionary!!

Here is a translation of page 13 (you can translate :

PROPOSAL TO THE CYPRUS GOVERNMENT FOR CONVERTING CYPRUS INTO A WORLDWIDE HUB FOR BITCOIN TRADING & PROCESSING

We believe that Bitcoin offers a significant opportunity for innovation and development: we would like to see Cyprus using its powerful human and academic capitals to become a pioneer in this regard.

All that the state has to do is to create a regulatory framework for Bitcoin businesses in Cyprus: this will eliminate/reduce the risks associated with digital currencies such as counterparty risk.

We can create an entirely new industry in Cyprus based on Bitcoin and digital currencies.

There will be major foreign investments in the economy, large annual income from its trading in the official Cyprus stock exchange and creation of new jobs.

Zero investment from the government.

The opportunity will not be there forever . Already other countries make similar moves e.g. Singapore , Switzerland , Denmark.

About share price discussion ... I read somewhere few days ago that the private round of NEOBEE IPVO was for 0.001 share? So it seems that 0.0036 is still insanely great 360% return for privileged ones. Is this 0.001 private round fact or rumor?

As far as I know, the cheapest were at 0.0025 if one also had xbond.

Edit: Oh, you must be referring to the panic selling when Bitfunder shut down, yes its was a great opportunity for buying.

IPO was at 0.003. There was some early pre-IPO small round at 0.0025.

Are you thinking of the angel investment round? I believe it was limited to a million rounds and sold out REALLY quickly.

I was ok with 0.0025 xBOND vs 0.003 IPVO round 20% difference thanks to TATs involvement, ok ...

0.003 vs 0.002, wasn't very fair @ 50% difference , but ok

but 0.001 vs 0.003 is another level >>> 300% difference

If this is true, privileged ones bought shares 3x under IPVO price, is this even legal ? It smells scamy, I feel cheated when 0.001 private round is true, it wasn't mentioned here or in prospectus at all Angry  Stenkross what you know about that round?

EDIT : Its not : "Never mind." ... we're talking about millions

This happens all the time and it has nothing to do with privileged ones. They invest in a different investment round entirely. If you are part of investment groups such as BitAngels you will see start-ups like Neo present themselves and develop their proposals. At this stage the risks are the highest.

Also, surprise surprise but it was crumbs yet again who stoked the fire. You really shouldn't keep rising to it.

Remember, this was even before Danny had a finalized prospectus.
The angel investors invested in some guy, who hadn't worked up any trust in the bitcoin community.
All he had was a drafted document, a crazy idea, and a site accepting bitcoins for pre-IPO purchase of shares.

It's easy to look back and say "hey, with this success Neo & Bee has become, it's unfair that some people payed much less", but in my eyes it's simply risk/reward.
With scammers around every corner, I'd say that the angel investors took a huge gamble.

but 300% ? its steal ... sick ... its not good that IPVO investors from bitcointalk didn't know about this, until now thanks to some rumor on reddit

whatever, what should I expect, right? ... only in Bitcoinland

so message for "to the moon guys" from one week ago : millions of shares were sold with 0.001 price tag, so act accordingly.

looking forward for some official update
