If the script is not to be resold, then why are you selling it? Sound like an attempt to scam and from what I know part of the source code maybe accessible by anyone. I am thinking of adding a neg on your profile for this kind of shady behaviour. Needless to say, it is a scam. The person selling "Full Source Code for the Bustabit" has no affiliation with us, they only copied our public frontend. The current version of our code is not for sale.

I have no problem believing the seller is a scammer that does not possess the source code but for a moment, let us look at the other possibility. Can you think of any possible scenario how they could have ended up with the actual source code? Is it possible you allowed developers or a different third party access to your server for either maintenance or another reason and they took a copy of the Bustabit website and database? Needless to say, it is a scam. The person selling "Full Source Code for the Bustabit" has no affiliation with us, they only copied our public frontend. The current version of our code is not for sale.

It does seem to be identical to Bustabit, I had a look the demo: https://bustabit.work.gdI have no idea how you managed to obtain the source code (or whether it corresponds to the latest version with the latest patches) but do you think it is ethically correct to sell code someone else owns and it was never released as open source? Or did that thought not cross your mind because you view the situation as simple as a trade?

You'd be surprised how easy it is to clone a site without any access to the code or infrastructure. It actually happens every other month, but we just report them to their registrar. The clones usually redirect to other casinos (which seems like a strange marketing strategy, if you ask me ) or they try to get players to enter their credentials or deposit money. The good news is that it's almost always obvious when a site is fake. And even when they try to mimic functionality, anyone familiar with the real site can tell the difference.

I’d appreciate some feedback — any comments help.
Here is my feedback : you are sending unsolicited private messages to other users ( I received it do guess other members too), you're selling something that isn't your property and whose provenance (assuming you're actually selling what you say you're selling) is unknown. You're damaging someone else's business. You're insinuating that Leomedina is a scammer, justifying it with a generic "things don't add up" argument (if you want to be taken seriously, you need to provide evidence for the accusations you're making). So my feedback is things don't add up on your side, IMO. Assuming what you say is true, what would a potential buyer do? Launch a competitor site to Bustabit (dozens have been launched, and almost none have lasted very long) with an initial reputation for relying on stolen software? Do you think people would trust it with their money?

In the age of AI agents such as CoPilot and others, it is actually relatively easy to extract functioning front ends and have them processed so that they can be replayed on another server. Of course, the situation is quite different for the backend, which cannot be copied so easily. Unfortunately, such sites are very well suited for scam attacks (which are excellent and very difficult to distinguish from the original). Ethically, such behavior is clearly unacceptable, of course.

Long story short, I saw Bustabit's signature in GazetaBitcoin's signature space and when I clicked on it, I saw that I was redirected to beta.bustabit.com, which I didn't know if Bustabit had. Why didn't you announce it in this thread? It's nice to see an improvement on Bustabit. There are many options added on the website, like CPU-saver mode, Network Indicator, and Cashout Indicator but the product's interface remains the same. I hope you'll upgrade that too.
Btw I can't log in to my old account, is that normal? To be fair, I haven't logged in to my account for years, so do they get deleted over time? I thought that they were permanent.

I remember I read in chat not long ago that bustabit might erase dormant accounts older than two years ( for dormant meaning that didn't log in and with no balance either in game account or in bankroll investment) and make their usernames available for new players to choose. If true this could be the reason. Digged into their help/faq section and unfortunately couldn't find any confirmation to this.

I just forgot to post about it here. Thought it's still only a beta, not an official launch. When I first mentioned it in chat, the goal was to find bugs. But now it's already quite stable, so you can already use it. I won't replace the main website until more features are added and it's completely bug-free, though. I don't have a timeline yet, but when that happenes, I might keep the old UI as an option. Btw I can't log in to my old account, is that normal? Yeah, that's normal. Dormant accounts aren't kept forever. This is explained in the terms of service. The exact wording is: "the operator may permanently delete accounts that have not been accessed for two years and may make usernames of deleted accounts available for use with new accounts again". In practice, only accounts that haven't been accessed in over five years have been deleted, and only after being notified by email. But to be safe, you should at least connect once every two years to the accounts you'd like to keep and no longer use.

Well that perfectly OK if they delete the old accounts specially the ones which are not used for over a period of five years and also it is mentioned in the terms. It is a cleansing process and not only it freeup old usernames but also the server space is free up as the not only the username but the data/history of the player also get deleted with it. My only question is that in this case, can the person (@shield132 in this case) whom account is deleted, can you the same email address and other things again if he decided to create a new account ?

I believe it's still possible to use the same email address, what one might have to alter is the username which can be taken up by someone else once your account is deleted because they will make it available once your account is deleted.

I believe it's still possible to use the same email address, what one might have to alter is the username which can be taken up by someone else once your account is deleted because they will make it available once your account is deleted. This it correct, it's possible to register multiple accounts with the same email address. But while the terms of service say that deleted usernames could be reused, in practice this hasn't happened yet. So right now you can't register a new account using a username that was already used, even if it was deleted.

It's my personal opinion but I think that if you make website's UI modern, you'll significantly benefit from it. Bustabit was an inspiration for the Spribe team, so much that they even rebranded their casino with the name Aviator (that's the name of their Bustabit analogue game). Btw I can't log in to my old account, is that normal? To be fair, I haven't logged in to my account for years, so do they get deleted over time? I thought that they were permanent.

I have many good memories with Bustabit, I wanted to check my betting history just for the nostalgia but it's okay. Btw I checked my email inbox (including spam) and I haven't been notified by email. It's okay, don't worry.

I just browsed the bustabit site and as soon as the page loaded I noticed something unusual : after many years they released a new version of their UI. I have still to figure out if there are new features available and which ones eventually but I thought it was worth sharing here for bistabit fans. For the ones who don't like changes the old version is still available and running at old.bustabit.com Here are some screenshots below: new landing page old one new old What do you think? Do you like novelty or are you traditionalists and don't like changes? @leomedina : time to celebrate this innovation with some contest?

The new UI looks indeed better, especially the new theme has given it a premium look. Personally, I liked this change. I rarely visit and play at Bustabit, that's why I liked the new theme and UI from the beginning. The thoughts of regular Bustabit players may not be the same as mine. Some old users may still prefer to play there by accessing the old platform.

Many regulars already knew about the change since we had a beta for several months before it went live. But yeah, it feels like a drastic change for the ones seeing it for the first time. The change was more of a necessity because the old code was very outdated and becoming difficult to maintain/improve. So it's not just a UI change to make it look a bit more modern, it's a complete rewrite with a few more features. But anyway, since many players are used to the old version and people dislike change, I decided to keep the old version too. Just keep in mind that any updates or new features will likely come to the new version first, or maybe exclusively.

Sometimes the subtle changes are the ones that bring a new look rather than a complete overhaul. I think regular players would appreciate that rather than a completely new look or upgrade. Keeping that aside, I noticed the bankroll section and it shows 498 BTC. That is significantly less than the days of devans but nevertheless is still a sizeable amount. ~ What do you think? The new look seems to be inspired from the now defunct Moneypot website which Leo previously owned. I have not complaints though, it has been years since bustabit's inception and a new look is always welcome. Other websites are doing this once a year so what the problem?
The game remains the same, just the look varies.
And about bankroll dropping to less than 500BTC, it might just indicate a good opportunity to invest for those who have not done so yet.
