Is hodling alts dangerous?

Last year alts rise a lot. I dont know the average percentage. But when I check coins in the market at year 2013 lots of them dead now (too low ranks). probably new tech coins won them (like peercoin, namecoin, ixcoin etc)

Also we are following new ICO s and most of us expecting too much gain from new coins which are not at the market. If our ICO expectations will happen, when they added to market, current market coins will go down. kind of paradox 

not quite sure where alts and btc would move in 3-6 months though I suppose ICOs are the most probable way to stay in green zone.

I think if more peoples know about crypto it's fine because they also need that coins for trading. Although new coins with new technology come, but my opinions is the old is still alive by trading

Well, you can hold good altcoins, but not new coins. Most of the new coins would fail in a few years time.

If you are going to buy alts and forget about them for few years than yes it is dangerous. But if you stay current with the market then you would know if any alt is getting risky in investment terms and know when to dump it. Just buy into high market cap coins with strong dev teams to prevent yourself from buying into risky alts.

Did someone suddenly bumped and robbed you because your holding an altcoins? It's not gonna be dangerous if you know the market cycles. It's still depends on you when or how will you hold those coins.

Some pennies on the exchange, the management team does not continue to develop so will be down for a short time. The project of the coin is not feasible. Currently the altcoin is born series. I think let's hold on to the pennies that have potential projects. This requires you to analyze and capture market trends. So you can succeed.

it depends for me, if you are holding coins which doesn't have a good amount of marketcap and trading volume i think yes that's a risky investment and holding such coins can lead you to loss unless you earn it through bounty program.

If you are earning tokens thru bounty programs then you wont really lose any money but somehow you do just waste up your effort or the chance on making money if you do still hold up your coins for long term.This is why it does still need wise decisions on when to go out and secure profits since not all the times price do pump out because after that there would be always a hard dump.

I think alts holding is not dangerous because many investors holding it in longtermway and become a rich persons.for me it depends of your strategy if how you do a techneque so that you can get a great profit.alts is not a dangerous for me because of people and trusted to hold and sell.

If you can able to identify which altcoin do have potential or not in longer runs then it would be an advantage for you since you can able to point out which one is good and which one is bad but we all know and do see on how many altcoins in the market.There are lots,right? This means, this would be the struggle or challenge on which coin should be hold up. You can assure if one you do hold will be good for long term or would be just good for one or single pump and dump forever coin.

if you scared to hold altcoins go to bitcoin, for me holding altcoins are profitable I'm not scared about the fud news, I wisely choosing coins for my long term hold I choose from the top 10 altcoins because I really believe the top 10  coins are in strong stabilities in the marketcap.

Well, you can hold good altcoins, but not new coins. Most of the new coins would fail in a few years time.

I agree wit you, old coins are developed by early experienced dev team and these coins have been listed on some big exchanges with enough trading volumes, so it is less risky to hold them.

It depends on the ALTS you were holding. There are ALTS who has a good road map, price increase will occur once the task on the road map was done. Research on the ALT before buying. There are ALTS that is not worth holding, it will keep on decreasing and will stay on that price for months. Always trust in your instinct and check the trends if its going downhill think if its worth holding. I can't hold the alts for that long just so you know. :-)

I think it is not dangerous to holding altcoins.
Well, at least before you invested and holding into them, you have to do some research about the altcoins and the projects, making sure it is not a scam.
If you have done that, holding them while waiting for their value to increase surely not dangerous, at all.

Now is really the testing time, hope the turnaround is near, i suspect it wouldn't be extended till summer. Currently, don't see and believe all the chart. The market is about trades and investors psychology.

Holding coins will always give profit to the investor but for that, we need to wait because without waiting patiently we cannot make huge profits with the coins you mentioned. Those good reputable coins in the market with good market up.

If to hold altcoin me a sense of security and even generate a lot of profit. take the example of the ethereum experience, from low prices currently are certainly very promising. to invest in ICO I think is also the same, choose ICO's successful and certainly the coin or token from the ICO could compete and survive long in the market.

Altcoin are clearly high risk high profit investment.if you hold coins with no chance.i think alts holding is not dangerous because bitcoin holding is a good think when we can get profit.i think the best way to make money is altcoin.it,s just depends on what you hold but if you do your own research and really believe in the project and team then hold.

Depends on what kind of asset you hold altcoins . Needless to say , if you bought no tech coins, they can die while you hold . The main thing is good selection of assets

In my opinion, holding alts isn't dangerous. Holding them too long is dangerous unless they belong to the top 10 list. For me, new promising alts are good to hold for less than a year to see if it's doing what it has promised. But then after a year of holding, that is the time you'll assess if it's still worth to hold or not.

holding altcoins is always good in order to generate huge profits and at the same time you also need to find potential in the company as well. Holding will always give good results because it was when compared to last year the price of coins increased a lot.

Yes, because altcoins is high risk but profitable and its depend on altcoins you holding.
if you hold shitcoin, sell it when you get profit and don't hold it.

In some sort not,but the market graphs now are so wavey that you cannot clearly say about whats gonna happen to the coin you are holding but if you have strong sense that what you are holding has great potential no worriesnor feel danger.
