I also believe to this because bitcoin was not too famous and only millenials and investors knows about this but when all people know about this and want to have bitcoins? So in that case the coin must have a more demand that can cause of pumping coin.  Also holders must hold their coin and also it can cause by the little supply and it can also pump again to bitcoin.

It's a strange situation whereby the absolute increase plays on peoples minds. Going from say $1 to $40 doesn't seem nearly as much of an increase as going from $8k to $320k.

I do sure hope it happens though and the Winklevoss twins can be even more rich, oh well

I completely share their optimism. I have said it today before, and that is me being confident that Bitcoin can become a $10 trillion dollar asset, which is an increase of around 70 times from current levels.

I personally prefer to remain a bit more conservative and realistic in terms of the time frame this will be happening, because this market will experience its ups and downs, but in the very long term, we'll succeed in that aspect.

For that reason I don't understand why people still see the recent correction as something negative. While people here are panicking, smart investors keep accumulating with a big smile, knowing they'll be rewarded big time later.

In 2013 they said it was to be worth $50k in "some years". I didnt have any btc at that time, and the use cases were so few you could doubt it would reach such value. Now, here we are, and we want the value to be what the Winklevoss brothers predicted.

We can reach 50k right at this year. We only need a assortment of good news, news that can skyrocket the price, and make the marketcap go to 2 trillion. News like Giancarlo convincing the central banks to have reserves of bitcoin, something like that.

I think the total market cap of cryptocurrencies will be huge.

But am not sure bitcoin will rise by 50 times. It is losing merchant adoption, other coins are catching up to it. I think the flippening with Ethereum will happen. I think litecoin, BCH and monero will be used as currencies. Am not sure where bitcoin is going - it might get to $30k, but beyond that....

Like always the problem is is not the what but the when, we all know bitcoin is going to be very valuable but if that happens in 300 hundred years then no one here is going to benefit greatly from that, we need bitcoin to reach huge values in a time frame in which we can enjoy the benefits of holding long term and I doubt bitcoin is going to up 40x in the next decade.

What they believe is up to them. I doubt that it'll have that much of a impact on bitcoin price. There are just too many "experts" out there saying a whole range of different and sometimes contradicting info to the public.

I agree with them though. I do think that one day in the future, bitcoin's market capitalization will probably exceed that of gold's. A few years ago if you said that bitcoin would ever be worth the same as one ounce of gold, you were delusional.

When will this happen would be completely unknown. It could take a decade or two before a pump this big happens again.

the market cap thing doesn't need a prediction really. it will happen sooner than you think and i will explain why but first i have to say it has nothing to do with bitcoin price. bitcoin is on its own path and it will continue to grow regardless of all the shenanigans in the altcoin market.

the way the total market cap is going to rise to a ridiculous (unreal) number is that they keep creating these shitcoins each with a low price but a huge supply. on top of it they keep on forking bitcoin and recently litecoin too and with each fork they simply add about 16.8 million coins in circulation which adds 16.8 million multiplied by whatever price they have which is from 1 cent to 1000 dollar to the total market cap.
that is how you see bitcoin market dominance (they mistakenly call it that) go down despite bitcoin price contentiously rising over the last year.

I think that's too much, I want to witness first at $50k before speculating that much higher price at 40 times. It might lost the purpose of why bitcoin was created if that happens but who knows, bitcoin is unpredictable and can bounce back and pumps to that price.
