This is not a warning about scam. Epayments are not scammers, but please take a moment to read this.

Right now, mastercards/crypto exchangers is a very delicate matter, and i need to write my openion on epayments.com. Only the best companies should have the new customers,which isnt epayments.

A few weeks ago i paid extra to get a card delivered faster, and it came within a week.

Ever since, i have trying to reach their customersupport, because they keep declining my documents, even though i have retaken pictures of driverslicens/bills. And diffrent bills.

They keep denying.

They do not answer tickets.

They have answered one, which just stated i need to wait 5 worksdays for approval again. Which again was declined.

I have no idea what i am doing wrong. Their support was writing in a weird way, just a way a professional support shouldnt.

I have a bad feeling about epayments, and i just wanted to share that.

And if any staff from epayments is reading this, then dont try to contact me. I will rip over your card, and take the loss.

Is wave crest also their card issuer? because if its is, their cards should be having a problem and what's funny is there is not a single update about it on their SNS.

But even if they're not partnered with wave crest, they should still give some updates just to reassure their users   Cry

according to their website, the documents they ask for are:

external passport (main page with photo);
identity card (front and back);
driver's license (front and back);
internal passport (including page with registration; for citizens of Ukrainians - copies of pages 0-1, 2-3, 4-5).

Important: Copies of foreign documents must comply with the following requirements:

copies of documents must be in color, not cropped and scanned with a minimum resolution of 300 dpi;
file size should not exceed 10 MB;
accepted formats: jpg, jpeg, png, pdf;
they accept both copies and photographs of documents.

Are you sure your document meets all of these requirements?

4. Confirmation of your residence address.

You can choose one of the following documents proving your address:

residence permit (together with the main passport page for Russian and Belarusian citizens; passport pages 0-1, 2-3, 4-5 for Ukrainian citizens);
utility bill (water, electricity, gas, internet, cable TV);
bank statement (the document must contain the name of the holder, the account number and the transactions with the respective data);
proof of lease (lease);
provisional certificate (for those temporarily registered at the place of residence);
residence certificate (for citizens of Kazakhstan);
residence permit (together with the external passport).

Important: Requirements for uploaded documents:

the document must be issued for a maximum of 3 months (except residence authorization);
the document must indicate the address and the name of the account holder;
the document must have a logo / seal / bar code / QR code;
copies of documents must be in color, not cropped and scanned with a minimum resolution of 300 dpi;
file size should not exceed 10 MB
accepted formats: jpg, jpeg, png, pdf.

Please make sure that the uploaded documents conform to the above requirements.

ask you the same question again: are you sure that your document is in accordance with their requirements? because it can happen that your document does not comply with the requirements they ask for

It's $45 and 40€... for Express Delivery through DHL.

You are losing credibility and honestly just stay away from them, they suck. Smiley

Looking into the compliance requirements of some exchanges can be very educational. Just googled these countries with internal and external passports. Fascinating stuff. The level of government control over their citizens. They need an internal passport to travel within their own country! Wikipedia says it is used to “control and monitor the internal movement and residence of its people”. Scary stuff.

That would be like needing a passport to travel from Boston to Atlanta. Imagine.

I have recently signed up with them and ordered the Pre-paid mastercard.

Although my ID/Passport has been approved, it seems that my proof of address (phone bill) hasn't been approved. They have sent me an email to re-sent the Docs. Its strange, as it is the first time that screenshot of my phone bill is declined.

Hidden Charges and Fraudulent TOS. My experience with epayments.com

I want to admit that before opening account with epayments i have already read almost every review on trustpilot but still i dared to open my account with them.  Read my experience with them it will help you alot.

I want to admit that before opening account with epayments i have already read almost every review on trustpilot but still i dared to open my account with them.  Read my experience with them it will help you alot.

Stage 1- Account opening

For me this process was quite simple i provided my bank statement and national ID card. My name address were same on both and both were valid so this went very smoothly.

Stage 2- Payment Credit into e-wallet

It was also very simple i provided Adcombo with my e-wallet from epayments and i saw my payout is transferred from adcombo to e-payments with in 2-3 hrs.

Stage 3- Transfer money from e-payment to my visa card

I tried this option many times but always received error that payments were declined by banks. I tried to transfer payment on my Meezan bank and HabibMetro account. I only contacted with HabibMetro and learned its not possible with them.

Stage 4- Transfer money from e-payments to bank account

This stage was game changer for me. I created a request with e-payments for bank transfer on 17-09-2019 and very next day i receive confirmation with their Banks's reference number so i can track it with my local bank after 2-3 days. There were some delays from my bank side but however on 27-09-2019 they called me and asked about this inward remittance reason which was ok and cleared but when they told me the remittance amount i was shocked.

i will tell you details, first note that its was actually $72 transferred from Adcombo to payments. They showed i will be paying $15 fees and $ 57 = € 50.16 will be transferred to my account. My bank told me that you are receiving € 20.16 since € 30 were deducted by sender's bank.

I inquired about this with e-payment where they said it was SHA transfer and in short this happens.

I went back to their website and checked following article "help.epayments.com/hc/en-us/articles/115002796789"  titled "Transferred to bank account" where they mentioned about SHA in such words. i am just copy/pasting.

" Payments are made with the SHA instruction. It means that you will pay our charges for processing the transaction and the recipient will pay the charges of its payment service provider. "

I told them as per your policy i paid you your charges of $15 and since i am recipient and my bank is my service provider who didn't made any deductions then how could your partner bank deduct €30. This is against what you have mentioned on your website.

By the time i am writing this they suddenly stopped replying after i strongly complained.

Stage 5- My verdict and complain

This is totally unfair and unethical way of doing business. You must inform me in advance that your bank/intermediary bank will deduct any charge they want. What kind of banking partners you have. You must know and tell your customers what are the exact charges they will be paying. You deducted your $15 commission and initiated wire without knowing that your customer might get charged further from your partner bank at its sole discretion. Its your job to tell exact charges to be born by your customers. You must have predefined arrangements with banks. I believe you knew i will be hit with these charges but intentionally you didn't inform me. I have read many scary reviews about epayments but still wanted to give it a shot and i learned my lesson. Your way of doing business is unethical. I will never endorse to recommend epayment.com their methods are not transparent.
For me this process was quite simple i provided my bank statement and national ID card. My name address were same on both and both were valid so this went very smoothly.

Yeah, an unpleasant situation, I also used epayments, but lately, due to the fact that this service worked unstable quite often, I started looking for alternatives. Currently I use quppy, it is by no means an advertisement, I just share my experience. Their verification is very fast, well, any wallet can be connected, well, in general, the platform works very stably.

I joined the Telegram group, one of the members wrote the following:

Quote
On 14 febr, the CEO of my company called ePayments. This is his response towards me:

They are going to submit new Risk Methodology to FCA on Tuesday, then FCA will approve and then they will start looking all the accounts one by one through the new Regulations.  They will start first with all the Corporate Accounts and then with the Individual Accounts.
Those they are compliant they will unfreeze their Accounts and continue as before.  Those they are not approved they will ask most probably for supported documents.  If you fail to deliver, then they will close your account and they will ask you another Bank Account to return your funds.

They guarantee 100% that the Funds are safe and there is no reason to afraid.   They want during March to start the process of checking one by one the accounts.  So it will take some time.

From the beginning (now since February 11), I knew it would take at least 2 or 3 months, but possibly 6 months. After writing to the FCA I realized how useless they are, they absolutely don't care about the customers who have big money there.

At least the above message keeps me somehow optimistic (for now)  Kiss

Some news from Telegram.

It seems Epayments are forced to reinforce their KYC policy (KYC = Know Your Customer, identity verification).

It is said that they are starting to review every company accounts, the ones with the most funds, then they will contact individuals to double check everyone's identity (asking for a selfie).

@GetYourMoneyBack 's post above, if by any chance you come back in this thread, would be nice to update about your situation.

Date: September, 15 2020
Subject: We are getting ready to start working together again

Hello, Customer!

We apologise for the time it has taken to get to this stage. We understand that not having access to your funds, particularly during the current climate, will not have been easy for a number of you.

We are pleased to announce that the work on updating our compliance systems and controls is advancing well.

As part of this we have redesigned our whole approach to how we will work with you in the future.

We are pleased to announce that we are now in a position to start the process of updating our customers records. This process is an important step toward allowing us to start enabling you to access the funds inside your ePayments account in the future.
What we’ve done    What it means for you
We’ve revised our systems and IT capabilities

    We’ll be taking advantage of innovation to offer you digital authentication processes, such as biometric technology

We’ll be changing our terms and conditions

    We’ll be changing the way that individuals can make payments and get paid. Individuals will only be able to get paid by companies and will only be able to send money to their own account. The available payments channels will remain with bank wire, bank card, and alternative payment methods. You’ll also still be able to use your pre-paid card.
    We will no longer offer access to cryptocurrency

We’re enhancing our account monitoring

    Enhanced monitoring will help us to quickly understand if something has gone wrong and fix it quickly

What happens next

    We will soon be in contact to ask you for new information so that we can make sure that the information we hold on you is accurate and up-to-date.
    We will start to contact you in groups, as we have a lot of customers.
    When we do contact you, your early and timely responses will ensure that this process is finished more quickly.
    If we have any questions about the information you provide or need any more information, we’ll be in touch.
    Once we’ve updated your information, we’ll be able to share the next steps.
    We will provide regular updates on our progress in our blog, where we will respond to questions and provide updated information.

We really value your patience, and look forward to serving you.

Still nothing happening.

This situation is terrible. I wanted to buy some crypto with my money stuck there, thought it would be released by June or July but how wrong I was. Now I am not even sure customers will have access to their funds next year, if at all.

Wrote to the FCA, and also to https://www.financial-ombudsman.org.uk/ to no avail so far.

I have read the 5 pages of the discussion on Offshorecorptalk and it's all about a conspiracy theory from some people who think it was a honeypot to collect personal information to put on sale on the dark web.
Seriously?
Considering the consequences, not any AEMI company regulated would take the risk, even if it was real, that's a costly manner to collect PII
